Probably Impossible: LoZ Twilight Princess' Midna (Imp ver.)

I really, really love the Imp ver. of Midna. I think she's so cute, and that design is so fascinating. She's spunky, and I actually enjoyed the time you spend with her unlike previous companions within the series. The added benefit that she is also an amazingly beautiful creature when she transforms is nice, but her imp form always has had a draw for me. But, best of all, I think she'd be an amazing MDD. Just.....I have no clue where to even start with a project like this.

 

In case you don't know who I'm talking about (excuse the large pic):

 

 

I have ideas for parts, but really, I'm at a loss to how to get her as close as possible.

 

Head & Ears: Extensively Modded DDH-01 head

Notes: I would like to do the facial expression on the pic above. I am unsure who'd I choose to do the work, but I think the DDH-01 is great just simply because of how wide, and not very deep the chin goes. I could possibly even have it rounded out even more if desired. I think I would have to have whoever does the head also create the ears so they all fit together nicely...which means my choices for people becomes very limited very fast.

 

 

Body: MDD 3 with M bust

Notes: I am unsure if it is possible, but there are two things I'd like to do. I'd like to try to enhance the hips on the MDD body, and then shorten the legs possibly? I don't think I could easily bulk out the thighs and create the dramatic decrease to the feet, but I feel like her legs may possibly be too long? It is a bit hard for me to tell.

 

When you look at here height I always feel like the legs on the MDD may be a little long? :

 

 

Skin/Body Coloring: I have no clue? I think maybe a custom-made bodysuit would be the easiest and best way to get that look like her body is more...smoothly joined? The only defined thing is that belly button haha. I guess I'd just need someone to attach those little swirl bits on her shoulders, and the little bits the kinda flay off around the arms?

Hair: Another item to be commissioned. I think an custom made alpaca wig that has the spiking and then short ponytail would be the best choice for me. Not like I think anyone could construct a hand for me.

 

 

Eyes: An easier bit. Custom made eyes generally aren't that hard, but I think I'd probably need to make them quite big due to the fact her eyes would be quite big, so just finding someone who creates that scale would be important.

 

 

Now the most truly difficult parts to me....

 

Headpiece + Hairpiece: If you look at the link supplied for the body coloring you'll see right away this thing is insanely detailed, and insanely big. I have literally no clue how to make this item. You could do a lot of things, but I'm a particular nitpick. I'd want it to look as close to actual detail as possible. This could include having one person make it and then another one blush it to make it that way. I have no clue, but I know this piece alone will probably cost me more than anything I need to do here, or maybe as much as all the other parts combined. But this piece is amazing, and it is apart of her design that makes me love here. It's just a beautiful piece. She's also got a hair piece that I'd need made, but that's probably not that difficult, but it'd probably be handled by the same person thus the inclusion.

 

 

So unless I forgot something those are the things I need to do, and I am not even sure when I'll start this project. I would love to plot ideas down though, and maybe try to get a good idea on how exactly much I would need to shell out because there are so many custom items, and because I'm creativity inept. oTL

 

But honestly, it'd be amazing to have her, and to have her to a scale close to what she'd actually scale in size to me is kinda great. (On the shorter side though if I understand how tall she is). I'm sorry if I seem really jumpy in subjects and such. I've literally written this after working a 16 hour shift so yeah. Sorry. XD

Yay, Midna! I'm looking forward to seeing how you tackle her! It sounds like you have a good plan. Though you're right, her body shape is probably difficult to get exactly right. For her headpiece, my first thought was that it'd be easiest to 3d-print and then blush, especially if there's 3d models available already.

 

Ahh, I really hope she isn't impossible!

This was for a Lego man though, so it also has the hair. So I would probably need to commission a 3D model, and that's pretty hard to even start looking for.

 

And I figure, if I am using a body suit, I could look into padding those bits that are bothering me. I just don't know anything even about sewing, modding the body, etc. So I'm hoping someone will help me. ^^;;
