Till Troll Posted November 22, 2011 If she becomes available internationally, I plan to enter the lottery for Mariko-sensei, as I've fallen in love with her. I think she just became my unicorn. But I've never entered the lottery before, and have a few questions for those much more experienced than me! I assume that after the Dollpla, if she's being released internationally, there will be a website for signing up for the lottery? Can you enter the lottery more than once? What are the odds like for winning the chance to buy a doll via Volks lottery? I know it's based on which doll, how many they make and demand, but am hoping someone a feel for doll popularity and experience with Volks can tell me. If you win the opportunity to buy your doll, can you then add items (in stock) to the shopping list? If I am going to pay shipping and a customs bill, if I can I want to stock up all at once. Thank-you for any advice! Fingers crossed for Mariko success!
archangeli Posted November 22, 2011 Generally Dolpa dolls are available only at the event, and if there are leftovers then they go to the website for general sales. So depending on how popular she was at the event, there may not be many to go around in the lottery. You can enter the lottery as many time as you want, if you have different credit cards! But bear in mind, that if you win, your credit card will automatically be charged. You can't add other stock items to your shopping cart with your lottery entry from Volks International. It sucks because you get slapped shipping and customs twice if you want other stuff >__<" It's really hard to say how many dolls they'll make since Volks doesn't release that information. With Moe v.2 earlier this year my hubby speculated there were between 250-300 of them (I forget how he came to the estimate, but it made sense when he explained it to me). With something that's a pre-order like the 2 new Sabers there can be thousands. Archangeli.net | Twitter: @MsArchangeli | YouTube: Archangeli
