Trying out the new yukata

So the yukata I ordered just arrived, and I figured its time to move away from the dirty browns of steampunk to some refreshing white and blues.

 

 

 

Ever since I got Sanada here, I've always conceived white and blue to be her colours. So it's nice to actually own some clothes that are actually blue now.

 

 

I'm not exactly sure what I was going for with this pose, but it looks like she's about to backhand some fool.

 

 

Same pose, different angle, less implied potential violence.

Tiny suggestion? pull the collar a lil bit away from the neck in the back - kimono/yukata supposed to have a bit of gap back there

and perhaps a mischievous butterfly perched in her hair =P They come in lil packs at craft stores!

Good point about her collar! I'll try adjust it and might upload a few more photos if they turn out well.

 

And yeah, the yukata actually came with a blue flower hair clip, but it unfortunately didn't look very nice. A butterfly sounds like a cool idea though!

So I got a new camera today, and decided to take it out for a spin. Unfortunately I don't have a speedlight yet, so the shots are still turning out with pretty poor lighting. Hopefully I'll be able to get one by end of next week.

 

 

The fabric is pretty, especially the obi fabric!

 

I like the "backhand" pose.
