The Four Stooges

Wellp, this time its time to dig up some old and new outfits for me sabers... technically its still 3½ stooges, since Albert is borrowing Maya's body for this, but this should be the year when that changes permanently.

 

Outfit wise a new debut is by the White tiger set, and even though I really wanted to also debut the Black Umemurasaki (Plum violet) kimono, that was spitting dye so much that it had to be canned in favor of the much more friendly one seen here, and also before.

 

The Kouhai kimono would have been a better match for Mary (Nero), but there was that pesky size thing to consider, since I didnt want to go swapping boob-sizes just for the outfits, but they do look nice despite the color swap.

 

Elizabeth is still in the Mashiro/Sakura outfit mashup, but why mess up a good combo when putting the group into pseudo japanese attire..

Such a lovely group, I love all the outfits. I'd love to get one sometime like the one with the shorts, but all I've seen have some floral print on the back side of the shorts. For some reason that drives me nuts to no end, I want them black all around. And your Saber Alter just confirms I chose correctly to get one of my own. But I have to wait a couple more months before she gets here...

Mmm, the pants on the Kouhai kimono set are a bit amusing with the floral motif on the back side. I was a bit reserved about it when I originally noticed it in the pre-sale photo's, but I haven't regretted getting it afterwards, since 75% of the time doing frontal photo's or displays its still quite gorgeus.

 

Its a simple enough of a design when flat, so technically shouldnt be too hard to make a pair if finding similar materials (the brocaded satin ribbon, and the uber soft pleather) wasn't a bit difficult locally.

As always finnelo gorgeous pictures. I have to ask though, how did you get saber to cross her legs? I've been trying to do it but so far unsuccessful

Its not quite the pure crossed leg pose that I'd want it to be, but this much can be done at least with a DD2 frame without any witchcraft. It still requires a bit of man-handling to do, and the internal frame will creak and crackle a bit on occasion.

 

starting out with a standing pose, cross the legs at the thighs as much as they will go, flip and bend over the shin you want on top over the other leg's knee, and then just proceed to a sitting pose with the thighs.

 

if I recall correct, initially the leg going over wants to bend back, but it has settled for me after some massaging to keep in place.

The sabers are a fun bunch to take pictures of, although I am still dissapointed of not being able to use the black kimono I have, due to it spitting dye everywhere... maybe then have a rerun with Albert after a thorough wash.
