Hello from PA!!

Hello, my name is Amethyst, I'm 25, and I've been a dolly addict since 2013- er, wrong group, sorry...

*ahem*

Hi~!! So, I've been in the doll collecting hobby since 2013! I started out with some mini obitsu and hujoo dolls, then got my first resin bjd in 2014 as a birthday present to myself. (Somehow I now have 15 dolls, plus 2 heads, and a minifee on the way...WHERE DID THEY ALL COME FROM?! )

To be honest, I had very little interest in dollfies until a friend got one and brought it to a meet up. I picked that cute dollfiedream up and BAM - one somehow magically arrived at my house by the end of the next year's tax season. (2016)

After that, I slowly bought an MDD to put together (it was easier on the paychecks to buy him in parts trololol). Kind of disappointed over the lack of male dollfies (wish I could've gotten a Len!!), so my MDD boy has the smallest chest possible, and, due to his cute loliboy status, he gets mistaken for a girl fairly often. Poor thing. (Then again, so do most of my 1/3 resin boys, go figure <__<)

Last October, I attended a gaming store's first mini-con, and hosted a dollfie panel and table. We just attended our second mini-con through them, with the 3rd being in June. Also attending the Central PA Comic Con in April, and will be having a dollfie/bjd fan table!

I do most of my crew's faceup work myself, cause that's actually the reason I got into the doll hobby in the first place (didn't realize it'd take over my life xD); and the gaming store has asked to display my work which is exciting, since I hope to sell some heads (imagine saying that out loud in public). I don't think I'm super fantastic, but I hope to get better and better as time goes on and I get more practice.

Please give me all your guidance and wisdom for the future!! And I look forward to seeing everyone's dolls!!

Welcome, you do have a big family, awesome! I know what you mean about boys being mistaken for girls, happens all the time to my resin MSD. Poor little guy! I'm sure hosting a panel must be fun. I've been thinking of doing one myself in the future, just gotta overcome my nervousness/shyness. Glad to have you here and please share your lovely doll family with us.

Thanks for the welcome! ^^ I'm looking forward to being able to share pics of my dollfies too. I just got a new head home today, for my display model at the gaming shop...but gah, it's so cute I kind of want to get another one all for myself <___< my friend's interested in them and he thought of getting one for art stuff...I told him that's how it starts, saying 'only one...'
