Len/Rin - daughter/servant of evil!

This was just up on their Twitter

oooooomg, I am literally screaming!! Volks is making this happen, have prototypes!

 

I am super-hoping Servant will still fit a girl DD-S (boy hips weren't that much more narrower than girl, were they??), and Daughter dress will accommodate S-bust instead of SS only...

 

Most common (ok my fav art) of these has usually been heavy on yellow and black combos, so Volks instead using yellow with white & peach is refreshing! (plus much less staining fears)

NEEED! They look so awesome! They're probably gonna be pricy though.

I don't really like Rins at all (although I'm not really a fan of giant dresses like that anyway, and it wouldnt suit my Rin's aesthetic) but damn I am all about Len's. Its good enough to have more clothes in his size too (that don't look like stain factories).

Do you think that dress would fit on Saber? I've got ballroom like dresses for Miku and Yaya already. And that dress would fit with my Saber's projected personality.

I haven't seen any actual specs for these yet, but we can infer quite a bit using Miku as example!

Miku is an SS-bust, but her Red Riding Hood set was made to fit upto M-busts. As were all her other "looser" fitting outfits as well (so like, 80% of 'em: Pink Ribbon, Senbonzakura, Fluffy coat, etc...)

Buuuut SIREN was SS-S busts only, so I guess it very much depends just how close-fitting Aku no gown is up there... (looks fairly tight)

 

santa Alter (your Saber, yeah?) is base-III with M-bust

You'll very likely need to give her a smaller bust to fit the gown

Tbh I kinda wanted the black x yellow sort of theme.;;

 

Although this might actually work. It looks nice in the peach x yellow theme( I adore Len's yellow x cream/ chocolate theme!). The only thing that seems off is the Rin hairclip having black I think they should of gone for a gold instead of black. Other than that it's really nice.

 

 

Although I do wonder, is the Len wig original or is it a new one for the servant of evil outfit? The color seems different but again, lighting is key.

 

And the prices! I must know! I was thinking of preordering the new snow miku set but now that I see these I must get both!

Those peachy ruffles on Rin's dress make it look somehow tacky in my eyes. Black/yellow combo would have been more elegant... but if they steered away from black to avoid staining issues, I suppose it's understandable. Granted, I'm not a fan of ruffly princess gowns like this to begin with, as I'm more into casual wear. ^^;

 

But Len's outfit looks really nice, I may have to add it onto my shopping list. *___* ♥ I don't even have the Senbonzakura outfits yet, and then there will be the Twinkle Snow set, too... augh, too many things to want. :'D

Dang, I like Len's outfit more than I thought I would. I thought I'd be totally safe from this release.

I'm not a big fan of ball gowns so easy pass on Rin's outfit but I'm loving Len's. I assume these sets will also come with wigs.

I really love Len's outfit, but the massive amount of peach color in Rin's kind of throws me? The Servant of Evil series is one of my favorites, but it's so dark and so sad that I feel like a nice bright color like that has no real place in any sort of dress associated with the songs. I like it as a stand alone thing, but if there was no mention of the series when I first saw her dress and she wasn't shown alongside Len, I never would have guessed that's what they were going for.

Funny enough this is exactly what threw me off with these outfits. They are so BRIGHT! I feel like they should be muted, even though I realize that their general outfits are always kinda bright. Just when you consider the actual song it feels like muted/darker would be more fitting.

 

I mean reality is neither would probably go home with me, but still, kinda hard to look at. Worth mentioning I hate yellow as a main color though as well.

Yup, Santa Alter is my Saber. I was fearful about the bust thing, but I guess we can wait and see when it does hit the market what size it needs. Still crossing my fingers...

Absolutely gorgeous outfits! Almost makes me want a Len, though I've never been a fan before.

I do not know how I feel about this. Rin and Len are my favorite vocaloids, the the Story of Evil music is so great; I had been looking forward to dollfie outfits for my twins since they were released. However. . . Rin's gown is throwing me off. I think Len's is fine, but I have always pictured the outfits matching more? Like brown on Rin's gown to match Len's vest instead of the peach? Speaking of. . . peach?

I think there are too many bright colors in Rin's outfit. I was expecting yellow to be the dominate color with touches of white. But peach? Too much for me. I would rather had brown or black, not just because of how dark the story is, but also to balance out ALL THAT YELLOW. Such a loud dress.

Lol, the more I write about what I do not like, the less I like it at all.

 

The prices are going to probably be high too. *sigh* Depending on the price point I will probably buy them anyway because its for Len and Rin, especially if they come with new wigs.

I am kinda disappointed.

For those confused about the colouring, I believe they're based on the illustrations from the novel adaptation. Although the yellow and black version is infinitely more recognizable, plus they had it like that in Project Mirai. Regardless it's the illustrator of the novel to blame here and not Volks.

Not blaming Volks, just not my cup of coffee. Volks is good at taking very bright photos, so maybe the colors are more muted in person (more like the drawings in the novel).

Ok, really startin to feel like the only weirdo that likes all that peach in Rin's dress

 

Rin is a spoiled brat princess, so all those super-fussy peach colored ruffles bring it home So. Loudly. for me! (yellow/black would have honestly been too elegant? Not gaudy enuff?)

 

Which is exactly same reason Len's brown waistcoat contrasts him so perfectly There's a level-headed ability to dress himself and not be ostentatious like his twin

Nope I really like Rin's dress as well! Seems to be a bit hit and miss though.

I think Volks did a very nice take on the designs as they can be depicted as being very plain in some artwork. There's a load of Rin & Len sets though that I'd probably prefer Volks did first. I kind of wonder how they pick the outfits for vocaloids that they'll make as some seem very random and not nearly as popular as other sets that people want.

Not that I have seen. I have been trying to keep very up to date with anything Vocaloid related that Volks talks about and I have not seen anything about Meltdown. Actually, the only talk of any sets for the twins that I know of are the ones we have seen now. Senbonzakura and Court of Evil. I would like to see a Meltdown set myself, I just wonder what Len's "personal" outfit would be? Regardless, I do expect one or two more outfit sets based on what is happening with Miku (hopefully more).
