I found this. I'm not sure if the girls are wanting an advertising gig or just wanted to film a LARP.

 

DARK TALES

 

Tecra: "Hi everyone! Little Red Riding Tecra here, and I'm here to tell you about this neat new card game I just got. It's called Dark Tales! It's a card game based on "dark" fairy tales."

 

Wolf: "Borf!"

Tecra: "The cards are tarot sized and they have cool art. Look at this dragon. I want a pet just like him!"

 

Wolf: "Grrrr!"

Cynthia: "Hold on there, little missy! The game of Dark Tales is full of wickedness, like my role model character, The Witch! I love her fashion sense."

 

Tecra: "Gasp! It's the evil witch Cynthia!"

 

Wolf: "Whimper."

Cynthia: "Little Red Riding Tecra, I'm whisking you away to my Cursed Castle. There I'm going to lock you in a room with an hourglass, because I'm going to steal those red shoes of yours! It's the only fair payback for you stealing that Lady Wizard Set which was destined for me!"

 

Tecra: "Noooooo! Help! Someone save me! Wolfy, protect me?"

 

Wolf: ::hides under Little Red Riding Tecra's Hood::

 

Tecra: "Oh, you're a big help."

 

Cynthia: "Muhahahaahaha!"

Amber: "Did someone call the rescue fairy? I hope so, because this card is pretty useful."

Tecra: "Amber, save me!"

 

Cynthia: "Foolish, peasant sprite! You are no match for me! Watch as I now summon an Ogre to smash you like a bug. Then the Ogre will carry Tecra back to my castle for my evil plots! Muahahahaha."

 

Amber: "That's not how the game is played, but I see what you're going for."

 

Tecra:"Help, before she summons flying monkeys."

 

Amber: "There aren't any cards for flying monkeys."

 

Cynthia: "Silence, silly fairy! Now my Ogre minion, ATTACK!"

Amber: "I need a Hero. I'm holding out for a hero 'till the morning light. He's gotta be sure, and it's gotta be soon, and he's gotta be larger than... a normal card. That's neat, I can choose a sword or an armor when I play this card."

 

Tecra: "Pwned!"

 

Wolf: "Borf!"

 

Cynthia: "ARRRGH! What a world, what a world! How could a silly little girl like you destroy my beautiful wickedness. ::sob:: It's not fair! I never get to win! ::sob::

 

Amber: "What?"

Amber: "It's just a game Cynthia. Don't cry."

 

Cynthia: "It's not fair. Just because I have cat eyes and dark hair and I'm sexier than both of you combined, I have to be the evil one. Being so perfect is a curse. ::sob::"

 

Amber: "Uhmm...."

 

Tecra: "It's OK. You're not the evil queen or the wicked stepsiser. I have a card you can be that will make you feel better."

 

Wolf: "Borf?"

Cynthia: "I'm the Princess?"

 

Tecra: "Yep!"

 

Wolf: "Borf!"

 

Cynthia: "I like her. She has good fashion sense like me. Do you think Gabriel will let me have a raven for a pet?"

 

Amber: "It depends on if you can talk him into paying the deposit for pets and the extra rent every month."

 

Cynthia: "I'll put on the bunnysuit before I talk to him about it."

Tecra: "Are you feeling better, big sis?"

 

Cynthia: "Uh huh."

 

Tecra: "Good! Because that means it's time for us to wrap up."

Tecra: "We love playing Dark Tales. Gabriel says we don't play it right, but I don't think he knows what he's talking about. Plus there are these expansions to the game. You get one guess which one is my favorite."

 

Wolf: "Borf!"

 

Cynthia: "Snow White has black hair. Maybe I could be Snow White. She's supposed to be devastatingly beautiful, just like me."

 

Amber: "I've decided I'm Cinderella, because Gabriel keeps buying me shoes. Plus, I like how in the game there are big dance parties where you can pair up your cards and dance."

 

Tecra: "I like my version of the game better."

 

Amber: "I see where this is going. Wolfy, sign us out."

 

Wolf: "BORF!"

I love how the girls fit their 'characters' and how they interact with one another. I'm not familiar with the card game but it seems interesting!

I'm obviously pretty hyped about it. I think it's one of the better game purchases I've made in the past few years.

 

Even though the quality is horrible on this set, I have to admit I still like it a couple of weeks later. Even though with the passage of time I can see how cripplingly flawed it is, I still look back on it and feel the fun I had from doing it.

Given how much fun the girls seemed to have with this game, I'd love to see them squabble over something like "Betrayal at House on the Hill" (my friends call it "Haunty House" which is way easier for me to remember-- had to google the name to make sure I got it right ).

I've been hoping to catch them playing something like Heroquest or Heroscape.

 

Cynthia and Amber separately have sat in on games of Talisman.
