Volks discontinuing standard models (?)

Is it just me, or does Towa look like she has a different dy bust? They dont look so balloon shaped.... :/

 

 

Indeed all new sculpts. Ironically none of them are DD, only DDS, DDDy and MDD.

I was also hoping for a boy and DDP but given that there's only 3 it's possible that they will add more in future.

 

 

Wouldn't that be because they're keeping Candy and Mirai? They are the DD girls of the new line up? ^×^

 

And until they release Iori and Yayoi, i dont think they'll have standard ddp, volks trying to get more sales of the idolmasters

You're right about Towa's boobs though, they don't look as goofy as DDdy normally do but the text is too small for me to make out in the photo.

The standard wig lineup seriously needs an overhaul. Some of the newer ones are decent but alot of the older ones just look outdated and scruffy to me. They also don't even look that good on DDs.

 

Anyway re:Towa, weirdly enough that text does just say its the regular DDdy bust. Must just be the photo?

 

The more I look at her the more I like her dreamy face but I can't really justify getting her lol.

 

By the way, now that I'm home, here's a bad translation of the new girls' personalities for those who wish to know, because I thought they were kinda cute.

Karin

'Self described as the active type, she's busy with sports and leisure through both winter and summer.　Because her dream is to travel the world, she's secretly studying english.'

Towa

'She's always seems to be in a daze and day-dreaming about something. Could it be she's thinking about something difficult...or not thinking at all?'

(Kinda wanna see Liliru's head blank and her custom potential. Wondering how she'd look as a boy...)

I really like Karin and Towa! If they were available in semi white skin I think they could work better for some of my girls as opposed to the other standard heads.

I initially thought Karin was a full DD, not a DDS. I think she looks nice, but she doesn't strike me as very DDSisterly. Not necessarily a bad thing or even a new thing as DDS seems to be more "slightly shorter girl" rather than "younger sister" in implementation.

 

I think I like Miko more than Towa. Well... I don't know. I just typed that and now I'm looking at the picture and I'm not sure. I'm just not a big fan of the purely neutral expression like Towa has. She's cute, but I'm thinking I'm liking her more for the eyes and wig they have her with than her inherent faceup.

 

Liliru looks really cute. That side view, though. I'm not sure about that.

 

I like all their wigs. It's always seemed odd to me that the DDs are anime themed dolls and outside of Limiteds there aren't any anime color wigs.

 

MDDs aren't my thing, so my wallet is probably safe from Liliru. Karin is tempting, though. I think my girls would accept her.

 

I like the wigs more, though. If the wigs were available separately, I'd buy all three. Karin's would also look really cool in black.

I really, really like Karin and Towa! I'm so glad I will have plenty of time to save up for them and can get them whenever; no lotteries to worry about.

As for my input on all this.... I like the new girls! The MDD is super cute and I like the DDs girl okay. But Towa is amazing. My GF already says she needs her so I'm guessing that Towa will probably wind up here eventually.

I thought the same thing about Haku! But I honestly really like her default hair and eye colour enough as it is.

As for release dates I'm assuming it will coincide with the DollPoint reopening on July 2nd but that's not confirmed. EDIT: got my volks news, says they will be at DD fest on July 15th. Dunno when they go online though.
