For those of you that haven't watched Re:Zero I can inform you that Emilia is half elf and also has small but pointy ears. Yay!

The fun thing is that they should be about the same size as Meltys but different shape. another funny thing is that they both haves silver hair and purple eyes as default.

 

 

Hoping for a nice sculpt for her! I'm very exited about more boys as well and Asuna as she should come with ears and wings.

Ugh I need Kirito. I hope this comes when I have money but I suspect it won't.

Seeing so many new announcements from WonFes is really exciting! I'm glad we are getting some variety (and not more im@s girls, as cute as they are).

 

Kirito is pretty exciting! I'm looking forward to seeing how he turns out (and what body he gets to be on?). I do hope Volks keeps on making boys like this in the future! As for Asuna, the first version was quite nice; I wonder if this new version will be set up like Kirika was with removeable ears? Kind of wondered if Volks was testing the waters with Kirika before making elf Asuna.

 

The announcement I'm most excited for is Emilia-tan! I really enjoyed ReZero and was hoping (or not hoping) she'd get the DD treatment someday. I wonder if she will come with a little Puck? Maybe her disguise cloak too? I wish they would make her pajamas from the anime as an alternate outfit;she has a lot of cute clothes in the show!

 

I know a lot of people were hoping for Rem/Ram DD, but I think it could still happen. Also wonder if we'll get a Felix someday too? That would be interesting....

I'm hoping with Asuna due to her ears they will do a new facesulpt... or they Announce a proper elf ear side accessory that would fit over most ear types for existing dolls. her face was too C: for me, I'd like a gal with a bit of fire and have elf ears XD

Does anyone know how that went with Miku's different versions? Did they actually make different head sculpts or did they just change the make-up?

For Miku and Snow Miku? Same headsculpt. The vast majority of second versions (Saber Alter and Extra, Sasara, ShibuRin, Rin Tohsaka, etc.) have reused the original sculpt. The only ones that had all new sculpts are Saber Lily and Rei maid version, off the top of my head.

 

I'm interested in seeing how Volks dos this version of Asuna. I'd like a big, pointy eared elf DD, so I might go after her. I'm kind of hoping that the elf ears are detachable like Kirika's, and Volks sells an outfit set like Saber Alter Santa version.

For the sake of my wallet I hope she has the same head, but honestly.. seeing a different face would be so cool!

So question (That may or may not be worth asking). Would Asuna be on the one piece torso due to her design? Or would she still be on the regular body like she was with the original design?

With that outfit, the one piece torso would look much better than the standard two piece. I would prefer Volks use it. On top of that, it makes the doll different from the first Asuna in another way.

 

I know her blue haired look has actual wings, but should this version of Asuna have wings, too? The figures never really seem to have her wearing a cape that looks like wings, never actually flying or anything. I don't really recall Asuna flying in this outfit, but I don't recall much from SAO to begin with...

Agreed on both facts. As for her Titania outfit, she does have wings on it:

 

 

And some of her figures do have the wings such as Max Factory's scale, her nendoroid of this version, Koto scale (One of my favorites, actually!), even one or two of her prize figures do.

 

So tbh It would be wonderful if they could somehow incorporate the wings in (Perhaps as an attachment of some sort?), but if not then that's alright as I believe there's some figures without the wings.

Same page with Asuna, I'm hoping they just sell the clothes separately or preorder vs having to yell and scream through lotto and then splitting and praying someone wants just a vanilla asuna head and extra body.

My wallet will be crying tears of blood if Emilia's sculpt turns out nicely. I hope they change Asuna's sculpt at least a little bit to suit her elf ears too, but I doubt it.

I know nothing for sure, but I am really guessing that they will be. The previous Asuna was lottery and so was the first male Len. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if these are going to be lottery as well.

I really hope not, but look at the Christmas event and the three Cinderella girls that came out before that (November preorder I think). I think it is very likely that they will at least Asuna and Kirito together.

I'm not a fan of SAO(the premise was cool and interesting when it first came out but the execution..), but I did like Asuna's sculpt so an elf ear version would be quite cute to see. I always thought that Kirito was short so I wouldn't be surprised if he kept the same body as Len, but I'd be happy if Volks does indeed make a nice looking taller body for him. I doubt I'd be interested in his head sculpt given his design but it's too early to call.

 

I haven't watched Re:Zero but Emilia's design looks very pretty, and at least Rem & Ram Azone dolls will be made.

I think 1 piece body will look great, but I would take posability over it. As for the wing, it's probably another clip on onto her dress and not magically extends from her shoulder.

 

I want her on an M bust but that dress won't hold up properly...

Ah true, that'd probably work better in the long run anyways as she doesn't really use them all that much in the anime, as previously mentioned. I'd say they'd keep her on M as that was the original bust size, but like you said the dress won't look right. Maybe they'll put her on L bust?
