New announcements? SAO and Emilia Dollfie Dreams

Well, I assumed Volks news would be out mid-april cos its always been the middle of the month it comes out in since I started getting it, but they revealed on twitter today that it'll be out on Monday, and packed full of info for the Dolpa in May.

If any of these dolls are going to have anything to do with Dolpa we'll know more then. (Or it could be something else entirely.)

That's exciting! More news Monday. I'm almost hoping they won't have much news about them so they will be released later. Since I'm going to be getting Miku, it will be more challenging to budget for a possible Elf Asuna entry if she is going to be coming soonish. But, I'll still try if I like the look of her promo!

Him and Asuna Titania will be in Volks News 73 that's out on Monday.

They refer to him as DD Kirito, as opposed to DDS, so I guess we can take this as confirmation that there's a new male body! (Unless it's a typo)

Hope to see more and more characters made using both boy bodies. I really got my fingers crossed that they'll add a boy to their new standard lineup if/when they implement that.

It begins I welcome any new additions to the male DD lineup. I really want to see all the characters they'll make if they really do have 2 male bodies now.

 

I admit, I didn't much care for SAO either, but design-wise I've always really liked Kirito for some reason. I can't wait to see more pictures of him. And oddly, I'm excited to see both his swords too. They already look pretty awesome from the teaser photo.

Ooh! His swords look good! I'm almost more excited to see more about the swords than I am about him.

I can't tell if I like his face from that angle or not, but if Volks makes DD size boy I'm tempted overall OTL I need to stop buying dolls, though. I wonder if Volks will make more DDS and DD boy character releases.

I'm not sure about him. He looks a little too childish for me.(It makes sense sense he looks like a teenager in the anime.) So I may have to pass on him, I'm mainly interested in his body. See if he has a Len-esque body or something more mature.

I'm liking the outfit and swords so far. The face from this angle reminds me of Aoi and Alisa.

Stop teasing us Volks... Still can't wait to see Asuna and Emilia.

I've been wondering if Kirito might make decent Katsuki Yuuri bait. . . unfortunately for my wallet, so far it actually looks like that might be the case. @_@ Oh no. I'm kind of hoping I'm wrong because money is tight, but also hoping I'm right because HNG.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I wonder if they reused a sculpt? Or maybe tweaked an exciting sculpt?

Might be a new face up on Asuna but 99% sure it'll be the same sculpt with elf ear attachments like on Kirika. And like Kirika expect that they'll mostly just fit her ears unless you use blue tack or something.

I want to see how Volks does adult-male faces, since Kirito and Len are both younger characters and younger looking dolls.

 

Kirito's outfit looks very cool. I like the swords. I don't know much about SAO though.

I do kind of want to note that I don't feel like he looks much like Kirito, but. . .I didn't want him for Kirito in the first place. So it works just fine for me. But yeah, I kind of expect that those who specifically wanted Kirito are gonna be a bit frustrated.

I would love if they did that, but they will probably not have that option available. Which means those of us who would just want the swords and sheaths will probably have to stalk splits and sales. We never know though. We could get lucky with it just once.

Could we please, seeing as Heaven's Feel releases later this year (and we've got Sabers and Idols a plenty)? I'd be interested in seeing how that turns out. Plus, then if we got Archer then we'd have male DDs in a tan... And possibly buffer as Archer is more defined (Not sure if this is the right term but let's just go with it) than Kirito.

I wonder if Volks has been considering releasing them to tie in with Heaven's Feel, and made the resin versions to gauge interest...Of course this may not be the case seeing as they also made a one off resin Macross boy (forget his name) just for photo ops, but we can hope. :p

 

I hope the new Volks News does indeed have more photos and specs for the SAO releases. I'm very impatient to see it actually x__x
