I hope the new Volks News does indeed have more photos and specs for the SAO releases. I'm very impatient to see it actually x__x

I would love if they did that, but they will probably not have that option available. Which means those of us who would just want the swords and sheaths will probably have to stalk splits and sales. We never know though. We could get lucky with it just once.

 

 

Volks did something similar with the original Saber release. Saber only came with Caliburn.... if you wanted Excalibur in it's full released form with the Avalon scabbard then you had to shell out another $100 for those separately. It's very possible that they *could* release Kirito with only his original sword and then sell his second sword that he acquired with his duel wield skill as a separate thing with the scabbard/back mounted sling.

 

I'd love to own both his swords so if Volks does decide to do a split release for a single sword then I'd be all over it!

They look OK to me. I like Asuna more than the first release. Kirito looks feminine but not bad. If anyone wants to split him let me know. I'd possibly just get the head and clothes.

I am willing to spilt one set of them since I am going to order(waiting for the ordering method) to sets of him and only want to keep one set of the item and head.

Man I want both!! Was agreeing with the feminine bit on kiroto, but I feel the problem lies with his lips, if you zoom in his face is fine. It's just for some reason they made his frown shaped lips more pink, instead of a neutral beige shade like lens o.O still, nothing a faceup can't fix!

 

also the chin structure is a little shorter, making his heaf a bit smaller? but for me I like him more then eiji and I feel that the asuna herself has never had the most amazing face sculpt when you look at photos. It's something that's more pretty in person and im thinking the elf ears will amplify that sooo hoping Kirito is sort of the same in that regard. Better in person or with a new faceup like a lot of sculpts tend to be.

 

I'll wait to judge to see owner photos. But hey I'm a sucker for elves so I'd like to grab asunas head possibly if anyone wants her fullset, bod or outfit. Kirito I'd like to have the full thing are these going to be lottos?

For some reason Kirito's head looks small for his body to me...I think the width is okay but it looks too short somehow. It may just be me though.

(At least it is good that I don't want him since I have to save right now :p )

I don't think Kirito's face looks like Kirito, TBH. . .but damn if he won't work for Yuuri Katsuki. AKA WELP THERE GOES MY TAX RETURN.

 

I do agree that his lips are way too pink. I do wonder about the shortness of his head--it kind of looks like he's looking down in most of these shots, which would foreshorten his face a bit. Hard to tell with Volks' notoriously over-lit photography.

 

So far this Asuna does look better than the original release--less derpy to my eye. That said, I probably won't be going in for her--if I succeed in nabbing Kirito to turn into Yuuri, I'll need to save up for Victor to go with him.

I am so so happy for the DDIII boy body and I can't wait to have more informations about it.

I really hope to be able to get him! Bad thing is I like Asuna too, from what I can see here.

But my priority will be the boy! ^_^

Kirito... ehhh I am not a huge fan of the face, I'm looking for a more mature face than a childish/teenage one. But as I said before it suits him having a teenage face. But woah those lips are wayyyy too pink, tone it down on the lipstick

 

Question is.... Will they be lottery or preorder? I'm hoping it's lottery just so we can get them early. But at the same time I wish they were preorders just so it's guaranteed that we will get them instead of hoping we win the lottery.

... I almost cried when I didn't win the original Asuna release, my heartbreak will be intense if I don't manage to win an Asuna this time. She is so pretty! Thank you Volks for enabling my possibly unhealthy obsession with elves.

 

Also, when I first saw the Kirito teaser I assumed his sculpt was meant to match the look of the original Asuna, which wasn't very accurate to the show, either. There's a part of me that wants to try for him, but I just don't care for him in quite the same way I do Asuna *0*

His outfit is awesome, I do want it all for my Miku. Her sculpt is so pretty, and I might just have a use for it at some point. But all in all, I won't be trying to get either doll, maybe splits for his outfit and her head, but unlikely.

Asuna is so pretty! The only thing I don't like is how they did her silver ear pieces, but everything else is so adorable! I can't wait to find out more information so I can see how well I have to budget.

While everyone seems happy about Volks making a new DD3 boy/male body, has no one thought about the fact that once you buy him, you can't dress him up in his outfit without worrying about staining the tee total beejeezus out of him with all that black? Brand new male body + super black Volks outfit = quick and easy stain issues and ticked off owners. I hope Volks includes a full body suit to go underneath his outfit.... otherwise that thing looks like a potential stain monster.

 

I think Asuna looks amazing and I'm happy she will come with her wings and removable ears! Also, those swords look totally badass.... I really want them but I'm betting they'll be hard as heck to get by themselves....

@baldylox Isn't that the truth. Maybe it'll be white lined? Or possibly the typical body suit will fit him? I have the special Rin Kagamine body suit on my Len, and that fits almost perfectly - though maybe just a little big. If this body really is bigger, fingers crossed it may be a perfect fit!

If he's based on the DDIII frame instead of DDS, I've got my fingers crossed SD13 boy stuff will fit. And actually, I DO have some SD13 boy stuff for Ags to wear, so he can steal some of that till I get him some "safe" stuff of his own. (Also, dude, that opens up the possibility of Dollheart clothes for him, and isn't that a lovely, if wallet-killing, thought?)

Hmmm I need more pictures. I like Kirito as a character, and his outfit and weaponry are cool, but I don't know how often I'd use them. I'm definitely interested in a DD sized boy body, though. It should be easier to get clothes for than the DDS boy. But I need more pics of his face before I decide. From the front he looks just ok, not really like Kirito, and a bit youngish like the one boy I already have. But the 3/4 view in the action pose makes his jawline look different, and closer to what I'd prefer. So I don't know if the front view is distorted or the 3/4 view is ATM.

I feel exactly the same way. I really enjoyed the first season of SAO, but I am lukewarm and even cold about the rest of it. So I am not a Kirito superfan. He's a very good looking boy, but he reminds me a lot of my DDH-05 boy.

 

I know that Kirito has a lean body, but his shoulders look very narrow. He sort of looks like he is on the DDS torso with longer legs.

 

I hope Volks releases the DDIII boy bodies someday, because I would prefer my DD boys to be true DDs and not hybrids. I especially would like DDIII bodies for my two Youmu boy twins.

That's no problem for me! I want her to be this specific character and would happily mod her ears. I can do that sort of modding, but I'm garbage at anything cosmetic that would be showing. The parabox ears just are not to my tastes at all.
