Parabox 40cm - discoloration question

Recommended Posts

Oni-Chan

Hello!

Im curious to know if those with parabox 40 have discolouration issues.

I have an obitsu 50 cm and 55cm and both have discoloration/aging colour change on their arms/legs but not their torsos.

I like to add more mini girls to my crew but whether i buy p40 is dependent upon the discolouration issue ^×^

Thank you in advance ☆

I have more dollfies than my age in years *×*

All of those dolls are manufactured by Obitsu so you can probably expect to have the same issues with any/all of them. Torso/chest vinyl is also a thinner, softer formulation than that used on arms and legs.

Thanks K-2!

I was hoping that the smaller line would be some kind of different, and i havent heard much on p40's staining/aging as i have with the 50-60 lines ^,^

I just wanted to add that I also notice yellowing in the same "harder" soft vinyl areas(arms, legs, hands, feet) on my 60cm Obitsu, and to a much lesser extent my 50cm. The really soft bust & torso parts on both bodies don't seem to yellow nearly as much and I don't know why. I think it's unavoidable as time passes(I'm guessing my 60cm Obitsu might have already been several years old when I bought her.. several years ago lol), but if it really bothers maybe you can try evenly buffing the yellowed parts with a magic eraser or high grit sandpaper. I think the yellowing only/mainly occurs on the outermost layer of the vinyl? If anything, it seems like Parabox's stock of 40cms gets sold reasonably quickly so you're likely to get a doll body that was manufactured pretty recently instead of who knows how many years ago.

i learn it on the hard way, my old obitsu, angel philia, and dollfie dream has the same issue, all their harder vinyl got yellowed, yelowing on vinyl or plastic can be happened if they exposed directly to the uv light or contact with oil based product.. since i never take my girls outside my house and they are displayed far from the window, the chance of them yellowing because of uv was impossible, then maybe the second reason, oil base product or oil, i never get them re face up or body blushing so theres no chance their body got exposed by oil base face up product, and then revelation hit me (lol), OUR body produced oil, and hands (palm) produce it as well, so maybe because i played with them with my bare hands (i always washed my hands before touching them), after that i use a glove whenever i play with them my newest doll which is already almost a year, doesnt have any yellowing issue till now.

_the end_

(im sorry for my broken english)
