Have you ever lost anything?

I'm not talking about having something stolen or dropping it and losing it forever or damage forcing you to discard something. Have you ever just flat out lost some dollfie item?

 

Recently I was doing some OCD updating of my MFC page, which meant poring over my Volks USA purchase history among others so I could update prices and dates for my items. And there was this pair of black socks which I can confirm I purchased, I'm sure I received, but I'll be damned if I can find them anywhere.

 

I completely dismantled my DD clothing storage searching for them the other day. They're just gone. I have no idea where they went. They have vanished into the ether. None of my girls even got to wear them. As far as I recall, they were still in the package.

 

I also ALMOST lost the ring that goes with Ranka's outfit the very first day I had it. A thorough search of everywhere I had been that day eventually turned it up, though.

I appear to have lost the goggles to the Dollheart Maryam set. D: And I've moved home *twice* since I last saw them, so they're probably long gone.

Every time I "lose" something, there's a 90% chance that after I've torn apart my storage bins, I'll finally realize one of my dolls is already wearing it. It's a smaller problem with my 1/3 scale dolls since I only have a couple of them, but with fashion dolls, it happens nonstop just because I have so many at this point! Shelves on shelves of girls and somewhere in there are the favorite shoes or that one bracelet, haha.

I really need to find my "magic" black thigh highs that never stain... I know their around here somewhere... I'm certain none of my dolls have them on, too. Must be in the bottom of some box of DD clothes...

yes!! A bunch of hella cheap Primark rings that are my girl's bracelets have just... gone!

 

Like, I'm almost sure the items themselves took offense at my general dislike of that store & just ... walked out the door

Most often when things go missing, they turn up being somewhere they really shouldn't have been. But I have indeed lost a bit of DD clothing..... one of the first sets I ever bought for Manami was a cute bustier and panty set from Jessica at Nightfall. I have the top for it but I cannot for the life of me find the matching panties. I have searched the house many times looking for them and they just aren't here anymore.

 

It's not even a real issue since I have tons of undies for the girls.... it's just the fact that I'm missing a MATCHING part of a set now. The collector inside my head screams really loudly every time I think about those damn undies.

Ah, yeah, I've randomly lost some of the first clothing I got for Autumn, specifically a cute blouse and a white dress my friend's grandmother made before she passed away. I feel really bad for having lost that but I maintain hope that I'll find it eventually

I lost one of the girls' loafers for a while but it turned out I had set the pait on a cabinet and one fell behind it. I found it when I rearranged the furniture.

I lost an entire Dollfie once. I had to move about every other year for the last couple of years and during a move overseas I lost track of Saber Lily. She had just arrived from Volks USA and I had left the box on a table and walked away (having a newborn and moving at the same time caused scatter-braininess). I guess the movers just kind of grabbed the box and tossed it in the shipping container without me noticing... A month later my accompanied items container arrived and while I gather my Dollfies I realize Lily is missing and the movers did not write her down on my unaccompanied items inventory. I noticed our container was opened for inspection and I had a bit of a panic. I figured she was in the unaccompanied shipping crate slowly making her way to me by boat. The shipment got delayed for like 5 months! Once the crates arrived and got opened I searched them for Lily but I just couldn't find her! I realized they were also opened for inspection and I started worrying thinking someone must have taken her. The whole day goes by and I feel awful. Once the movers take the last item out of the crates one of them just casually tosses my Lily's box. Turns out it had fallen and gotten stuck under my couch. After that I'm much more careful during moves, If someone had wanted to they could have taken Lily and I couldn't have done anything about it

 

Also I lost Saber alters swimsuit. I opened my pre-order saber Alter at my moms place and put the swim suit aside. It must have been covered up by something and I lost track but years passed and I figured my mom might have accidentally tossed it. About two months ago my mom hands it to me randomly and tells me she found it between some old bills.

 

And finally I can't find the left shoe that goes with Mashiro's Hakama. Its been a year so hopefully it will show up.

I usually keep good track of my DD things but I did lose Yoko's hair clip. I'm still mad at myself for that. It was adorable.
