Some info on these rare tan girls: me and my friend have been trying to figure out how Volks releases them for a few months now, but as far as we can figure out, they'll just stick either a ddh09 or ddh06 in the D'Coord lineup for either the Akihabara or Yokohama stores completely at random. My friend had been helping me hunt one down and we at first thought it was just a matter of checking the stores on the dates they are scheduled to switch out the D'Coord models - the only way to see what they are is to go to the stores in question, but as long as you know the dates to go its fine, right? Wrong. Volks are weirdly sneaky about this and dont put the tan girls out on the dates the D'coords change, they seem to just put them out whenever they feel like it. Could be any day or any time, which means that getting one boils down to luck and being in the right place at the right time. (This is why we were joking that its like hunting for shiny pokemon...) Anyway all the planets and stars and whathaveyou lined up in the precise order for my friend to be in the Akiba store right after they bought out a new DDh09 one, and they quickly snapped her up for me. (Apparently a line of other prospective buyers was already forming when they did it!) Long story short, a) volks found a way to release dolls that make the lotteries seem like the most stress-free and peaceful thing ever and b) I have one! hurray! And after seeing so many pics of them both I really started to like the ddh09 more, so i'm glad things turned out as they did. Her purple wig and eyes are nice, but she's meant to be Bri from my webcomic so she needs blonde hair and blue eyes. I'd like to get her some better ones but for the time being she's borrowing Len's default, and switched wigs with Rin so she can be short-haired Bri until I get her a long one. (Rin is super cute in that wig too...) Untitled by torinomh mh, on Flickr The tan skin is a pretty colour - not quite as dark as SmartDoll tea, but darker than it looked in the photos I first saw. It's the right tone for the character I wanted so that's what matters to me. I don't know what its like compared to Kanu unfortunately, as I've never seen her in person, but maybe its the same or very close. I'm kind of paranoid about damaging her or staining her too badly though, because who knows if there will ever be replacement parts... PlasticFantastic Posted March 15, 2017 The tan D'Coord girls Volks announced in their Winter issue definitely caught my eye. I'd assume that they're very similar in colour to Kanu. Hopefully if the D'Coord tan girls do well Volks will release tan as an optional vinyl colour for the masses. Really happy to see that someone actually was able to get one! Are you going to get about the same shade of wig for her, or a little lighter or darker? I'm excited to see it! Also, I love the last photo xD I wonder if Bri will show the shot she took to Syd? I originally thought that I'd just buy smartdoll Kizuna's wig and take the braids out, but now I'm wondering if I should get something lighter than that. It depends what I can find I guess. That just makes Bri more special! She's so pretty too. ...And honestly so is Mel. I don't blame you for keeping him like that.
