Moon-to-Starlight Posted March 16, 2017 Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for allowing me to join this group; I am so glad that I found it! I am very new to dollfies, to be completely honest. I have looked at pictures of them for probably close to a year but I just recently took the plunge and purchased my first head--a Sheryl Nome head.... And then almost immediately afterwards a ddh-10 head and already looking at other heads! ...So much for joining slowly, I suppose ^_^;; Anyway, I am looking forward to learning more and meeting others as I go! My original plan was to order the bodies one at a time but I'm not sure I am going to be able to resist getting them both at the same time! ^_^;; How about you? What dolls do you have? elianti Posted March 17, 2017 I think Ranka & Sheryl were my favorite set of preorder DDs so far. Both their sculpts and default outfits are so nice that I almost regret not getting either of them. I have a whole lot of personal rules set up to prevent me from getting limiteds/fullset dolls on a whim. xD;; Right now I have a DDH-07, DDH-08, & DDH-09, a few SQ Lab heads, and about 3 Obitsu bodies in parts. No full DD bodies here though(for now!), since I'm a stickler for accuracy and the characters I want to complete first should be in between DDS and DDP height and should have different body types). ^^""" I take foreeeever with my plans lol so you'll probably get your two dolls 'completed' before me. I am having no problems finding other dolls to fall in love with and there is always the second hand market. What characters are you working on? Are they your own characters or are they based off something that you like? I hope I'm not being too nosy.... I'm just really enjoying looking at everyone's projects and plans on here. elianti Posted March 17, 2017 Nope, I don't mind! I'm working on my own characters. I'm a huge Pokémon fan so all of them 'live' in that sort of world, doing their own thing while still being Pokémon trainers. xD I originally got into this hobby because I wanted a doll to represent my main character/trainer(the one in my avatar lol) because I also collect Pokémon merchandise of her team, though in retrospect most of the figures and plushies I have aren't in the 1/3 scale. At first I only wanted her, but it's painfully hard to just stop at one doll in this hobby so besides finishing her I also have to have her two closest friends too. Parts-wise one is nearly complete, and the new smart doll guy would be perfect for the other. I did end up getting even more heads for some of my other characters somehow. xD For the sake of my bank account I really shouldn't work on them for a while tho!;; Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Pardon me for jumping in on this conversation (Also delayed welcome to the forums!), not sure how much looking you've done but if you're after a Ranka then Jungle has multiple ones for 64k jpy, all of which being A condition (They have three ranks: Sealed, A, B.). (Although Idk how much she goes for on aftermarket, so you may wanna look into that...) Also you can watch Yahoo Japan Auctions for her (And bodies for your 2 heads, although if you're not in JP you're going to need a proxy such as buyee) and possibly Mandarake. Again, welcome and congrats on the heads! I love Sheryl's DD (And Ranka's) but I've got a couple of other girls I'm on the hunt for before I can think of pursuing her.
