Coloured versions of CJ characters are limited

Oh dang, I completely missed the part about how he won't release the new guys until after he sells through all of his Eiji stock. And that those new guys really are Eiji/Crimson 2.0. Where did he say that?

 

I know it sounds bad but that's what Danny told us when we visited him 2 weeks ago at his store. That's also when he told us that those new faces were going to be the new Eiji. So he hasn't said this anywhere on Twitter or anything, it's a bit of news/info I was privy to that he didn't say I couldn't say anything about.

 

From what I gathered, he doesn't have a HUGE inventory of older Eiji heads left so it's not like people will be waiting 10 months to get one of the new ones. And he said he would *LIKE* to sell thru all the older ones before releasing the new ones. So there's some hope that he might pull the last ones he's got to move onto selling the newer versions. We didn't talk about that too much tho so I don't have any concrete timeframes on any of this. Just keep your fingers crossed!

Huh. I had a feeling that that might have been the situation with the new guys considering they hair and eye choices he made with them. I try not to worry too much about my Eiji though. He can look a little funny but I still like him and it really is the best fit for the character he is out there so yeah. I won't complain about getting a discount on new Eiji though since he'll be useful too. Aveline needs her husband. lol

On his twitter recently (March the 28th) Danny said that Chitose in the tea skin will still be available (he says she has special powers so will stick around). Twilight's default skin tone is tea so she will be staying as well. Good thing too I lurve Chitose in tea skin (this skin tone looks beautiful) and hope to get her in the future. Of course Ebony, Ivory and Harmony will be staying and the extra pieces. I think it would be a bad choice to cease offering SOME of the dolls in varying skin tones because that's what currently sets him apart from the Dollfie Dreams, where you can't currently purchase a standard doll in tan for example. I'm personally not interested in full set licensed dolls either, but I am interested in a broader choice of skin tones and body shapes/sizes.I think he should focus on his original character dolls, at least for the time being, as he's still got a few of those to create yet. He needs to refrain from getting in way over his head as his company is still relatively new.
