While I think the specs he's giving for a "PC" version, is not feasible, (1080 would melt the doll) a persacom like setup that links to the cell phone, with robotics for arm, torso and head, are doable in this size.. Tablet grade hardware would work though..

I'd be happy with just a Doll version of this..

That's all I want. My Haruka doesn't need electronic guts. But at this size he should be able to do poseable fingers.

Danny just posted a video from Hyper Japan London on FB where he states 1/3 Smartdoll is $430 pounds (can't find the pounds key) and the 1/2 Smart Doll is $6000 pounds???? that got to be a joke I hope because that's

$10000 AUD

Jesus... I mean, I get that it probably costs a lot to make but That price will alienate a lot of people.

I'm assuming that's either a joke or he's willing to reluctantly give up his prototype for that much lol.

(If it's not a joke then yikes. I refuse to believe he's being serious)

So about 10 times the price of a 1/3 girl. That is pricey. If it had been 2-3 times the price, I could swing it, but the current price is way above my credit limit. Guess that really give me time to save in hope he'll make the girl I want in 1/2 sized.

If the price point isn't somewhere around the obitsu cost, it won't sell at all.

When things get bigger the weight goes way up. Internals have to be a lot stronger, joints stiffer.

Maybe Danny's talking about the version outfitted with the CPU, etc.

I'm a huge fan of smartdoll and Danny choo. I know that it takes time and money to create his products but 6000 pounds? That's $7848.00, it's already hard enough to get people to take the plunge to buy a $500 to $2000 doll. But an almost $8000 doll??? Please tell me that is the price if you want the prototype. I'm super hyped and want to buy Mannequin Mirai but I have a family and kids. Sorry Danny Sam but l have to pass if that's the "real" price

For what is apparently $7800USD/more than $10000AUD, I would expect it to be a high-spec computer that can also cook me meals. Seeing as, unless i'm mistaken, it's literally just a bigger version of the 1/3 model but with less poseability (he explictly stated the big ones dont pose as well), then unless he's joking I think he's lost it... or he just doesn't actually want sell it yet and that's his way of saying so. Resin dolls of that size rarely exceed $2000USD.

The sad thing is that the price is so high it only takes one person to buy it for it to be 'worth it' to price it at that. And given how rabid some of his followers are with anything he slaps his name on...someone probably will.

At the end of the day I wasn't going to buy one whether its $10,000AUD or $10 AUD, so it has no real effect on me either way. I'm just still gonna be really disappointed/shocked/(/disgusted? Disgusted might be too strong a word) if he isn't joking.

We're kinda jumping the gun here.

Let's just wait till this mannequin is officially launched.

It's officially a joke. The mannequin wasn't for sale. I heard from someone who went to hyper Japan and talked to Danny.

The specs for the computer were clearly not too feasible, but I had at least hoped that the 1/2 doll wouldn't be a joke. So no giant anime dollies? Aw, that sucks.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. He'll still be selling the mannequins, just not that one at hyper Japan, and not for 6,000 euros.

As far as I know he's still planning on selling them once he gets production going.

Oh, neato! Okay, the 1/2 doll is still on. The dolls would make such a cool mannequin, it'll be fun to make clothes for her. C: Thanks!

As for clothes, my thought was also to head to Target or Walmart to buy her things. Outfits for 4-6 year olds should be about right. Even local thrift stores for really cheap.

I've seen so many cute clothes online and then been disappointed when they only had kid sizes.
