Mirai Mannequin Machine

I would jump at a 1/2 scale dollie the second it launched. I love my DM Lusion & Trinity dolls, but they are so darned heavy. A big vinyl doll would be so much more convenient.

Danny Has posted that he will also be doing Licenced versions of Mirai Mannequin , not sure how well these will sell , not many people will want more than one Smart doll of that size .

Licensed ones? I bet there will be a lot of people who want to build waifu collections in 1/2 scale. I'm betting on price being more of a barrier than desire

I want the Mirai Mannequin so much! I wonder which licenses he would do. I know he said before that he wanted to release more of the other dolls besides Mirai, but I really hope there's enough interest for that to happen. The Mirai mannequin is very cute, but I'd love one of the other models.

I didn't really like the concept to the mannequin, but all the pics he's posting are making me reconsider. A 1/2 sized waifu, indeed. I fear the price tag, tho. She's literally more than double the normal smartdoll size.

 

Also, has anyone seen that he's made Ebony, Sana, and Starlight into Mannequin size? Ebony looks prettier than Mirai, and I love Starlight, so I can't wait to see her assembled.

Saw a comment on his IG today that said Mannequin won't be released for a very long time! I'm guessing he wants to do more testing on her and have optional parts (since he's also making apparel for them too)

 

I'm not sure if I want this one, I love the concept of 1/2 dolls but have no idea what I'd do with her LOL, I barely have space for my My Size Barbie. Maybe just the kind of doll that I love seeing in pictures but can't justify owning.

I have seen this. Yeah, I was frankly expecting worse price, especially because he said he will send him new stuff every now and then.

"Special Dokomi price" may be an equivalent to the few Cortex he'll be selling at 1000 yen. In other words, what the price on this is when actually released could still be anything. Especially with the free upgrades and such, this sounds like it could be another low price in exchange for advertising/twitter-bombing.

I asked him on Twitter if he'd make a cortex mannequin (cause that would be wayyy cheaper) and he said 'lol no', which was very disappointing. I don't think there'll be very many buyers at this price, which could be a hit considering how much time he's spent developing her.

Well, it's not that simple. Square-cube law says, that 2x linear difference makes 4x more surface (think clothes) and 8x more volume (think internal structure).

I think the 4x price is to be expected at least...

I saw on Twitter today that she was sold for 1880$ at German convention. So, the price is increasing in geometrical progression

An these ~1900EUR was a special Dokomi price, not the regular in-store one.

Expect something like 250.000 JPY or more

OMG, I was really expected to get her with the Pentium inside for that price
