Need you opinion!!!!

OK I want to make Violet from the light novel/soon to be anime [Violet Evergarden]

but I'm not sure what head base/body tone to use

 

if you don't yet know violet just need to use Gargler on the CONFUZER . just google Violet Evergarden images., "wanted to post images but because I'm new don't know if i can,said some sort of error"

 

now if you find a concept image/the front cover of the book,her skin tone looks like the white base body.

but, if you look at the bunch of images(of the animated trailer), her skin tone, is not white but its not semi-white.

 

now,her head, i think the DDH+07 is good for Violet, but I'm not sure, is there a better head to recommend to suit violet

so with that should I chose a Semi-white base body/head. or a white base body/head.

 

 

 

Also dose any one know where I can get the wig for violet, or wig making materials, or get custom eyes made!!!!!!!,

Seeing her skin tone, she does seem like a white skin girl. Although I am sure you will do just fine with a semi-white skin body. Plus white skin bodies are very hard to come by, unless you build it yourself(if I recall it's actually slightly cheaper to assemble it yourself)

 

I suggest a semi-white(or white if you prefer assembling it yourself) skinned DIII body with an M bust.

 

Oh forgot to mention, as for the head, an 07 seems perfect for her. Since 07 is a more mature sculpt.

I just watched the CM for the Violet Evergarden anime, and wooooow. Absolutely beautiful, as expected from KyoAni! I'm going to try watching it once it airs. xD I think a DDH-07 head could work. Are you open to finding and customizing a limited head? I think Takane Shijou would make a beautiful Violet! She's already SWS and with a DDIII body too! A new faceup is needed though.

 

It's interesting how Violet herself is a doll. Maybe if it becomes a hit we might see an official Violet DD sometime.. (or not)

Takane Shijou head is perfect, especially the shape of the eyes.. but i also want to build my own body, so ill go with the white body, ill be ordering parts. . would be hard to find Takane's Head.

I want to start the metal work of her automail[Hand/arm] and start sewing her clothes, should i use a felt like material, only time can tell. im going to use soft leather for her belt, and die cast her belt parts. then make her shoes. the only thing i don't know[accesses to the material] are eyes/

Ah wait, if you will be going with Takane's head(I'm not sure if you meant that you're getting her, or not xD)you're going to want a semi-white skin body if you want it to match! You can still buy all of the parts for a semi-white body separately and build it yourself though. I hope you didn't order the parts yet. It's so cool that you're making everything else yourself! I wish I had that determination. xD;; There are different ways to make eyes. I think most either use diy kits to make acrylic eyes, or make it completely from scratch using resin.

I would also recommend semi-white skin since white skin is very delicate and easy to yellow,and would look little pale in real life. semi white skin would look closer in person also

Atm im making Ps[Photoshop] mock ups, one with [Takane Shijou's head] one with DDH+07 SW and now DDH+07W to make a side by side comparison.

 

Btw what i meant (elianti) was i just wanted to just find the head, not a full set, because a collaboration model costs quite a bit, compared to just the head.

So now its time to get the materials for the preparation of the construction of Violet Evergarden.

shopping list Polymer clay/Uv resin, leather offcuts,wig cap/DIY doll hair, sheet of red brass.

trying to see if ill use Nickel silver or Sterling silver sheets.

 

Also cloth, DDIII body, but ill look for those later.
