Vocaloid related items you'd like to see as DDs/outfits

Seeing the new Akuno outfits for Rin and Len got me thinking about Vocaloids and outfits I'd like to see in DD form. I thought it would be interesting to see what--and who--everyone would like to see, so I figured I'd make a thread!

 

I hope it's distinct enough from the "characters" thread as I also wanted to see what outfits from PVs and games/merchandise people would like to see.

 

Feel free to share your hopes, even if they're unlikely!

 

(For example, I would love a v-flower DD, but I don't think it'll ever happen lol)

I want some of Miku's more overtly sci-fi outfits, like Plug Out or even her Append outfit. They look SO cool, but I'm not *quite* motivated enough to make them myself.

 

I know that there are other amazing Miku outfits out there, BUT I SO WANT SCI-FI ONES. She's a singing android, she NEEDS sci-fi stuff!

As for other outfits, I can't help playing Project Diva and thinking about every outfit being in DD form. I'll have to sit down and pick a couple top ones to post here.

I have a list! But I'll try to stick to my top four Miku related outfits. The others have their own lists!

 

 

Miku's outfit from MMO Online Game Addicts. This is one of the songs that got me deeply loving Miku's voice. Before this one, I was only really liked Luka. After this, I gave Miku's voice another shot and fell for it.

 

 

I love her outfit from World End Dance Hall. It just looks so cute! I think finding the right scale print would be harder for me to do.

 

 

Of course, her yukata isn't really fancy, but I would love to have this print on it.

 

 

I love the Honeywhip outfit! Everything about it down to the butterfly hairpieces. It would have to be almost entirely white lined, but it would be lovely!

Oh man, I have to try hard to contain my enthusiasm here because this has crossed my mind multiple times -- I'll try not to blab too much

 

As far as characters go, I'm not going to deny that I'd love to have pretty much all of the standard crew available as DDs If I really had to pick from them though, I'd be super thrilled to see Volks put out a Kaito, Luka or Gumi

 

(also, I think she's unofficial and hasn't starred in a lot but I really like Calne Ca.)

 

Outfits:

- A "Dark Woods Circus" set. I know they're fairly involved but I always really enjoyed the character designs for the PV and there's a lot of artistic license that could be taken with design.

- Rin and Len's outfits from "A Faint Wish." The ones in "A New Millennium" as well.

- Miku's "Deep Sea Girl" outfit.

- Miku's "Thoughtful Zombie" outfit.

- Rin's dress from "Meltdown".

- Len's outfit from "Dream-Eating Monochrome Baku."

- An "Alluring Secret, Black Vow" set.

- The outfits from the "Synchronicity" series.

- A set from the "Death Should Not Have Taken Thee!" PV (a lot of cute accessories could make their way into something like this one).

- Rin and Len's outfits from "Pumpkin Syndrome" or that other Halloween themed one that I can't remember right this second.

- Rin's outfit from "The Weekend's Coming!!" (I've thought of making this one my self but I don't have a Rin or a DDS to model it on )

 

I'm sure I could come up with more if I sat and thought about it longer, but I'm not here to bore anyone. Can you tell I have a soft spot for song series?

They're doing Miku's Deep Sea Girl outfit though unless I missed something? It was announced the same time as the Akuno Matsume (Spelling?) outfits.

 

As for me, I'd love to see a Luka DD most as she's my best girl Especially with her Flower, A-CUTE, and Tailor Shop outfits. Follow up ideas(Which most likely will never happen but I'd still like to see done)include Meiko (Conchita anyone?), MAYU, Gakupo and Aiko Lapis and Meril Iroha. Other Miku outfits I'd like to see would be Vintage, Heart Hunter and Supreme.

most of my other wanted one is lukas....please released a Luka

Emerald or Honey Whip would definitely be nice. The Dragoon 2020 outfit would be a must buy.

 

On the MMD front, there's a TDA "Canary" Chinese Dress that would be wonderful. There's a few minor variants of that one.

What about an IA? She's a real cutie and I think her design fits DDs pretty well.

Volks has worked with Sega before, so this Sonic themed outfit could totally happen!

 

I like Bottle Miku, too, but replicating her water hair would probably be too costly.

Well, since Volks already announced the Deep Sea Girl outfit, the only other one I would really like to see is Rin's Melancholic outfit.

 

As for Vocaloids that I want to see as DDs, anyone remember that english Vocaloid Sonika?

I absolutely love Sonika, unfortunately she doesn't seem very popular so I doubt she would ever get an official doll. Even if she did manage to get an official DD, she has multiple designs and the only one really I like is her Taiwan Design and I doubt Volks would make that, the outfit seems like it would be a little too complicated for that...

I'd definitely like them to complete the Crypton lineup - I'd get a Kaito and Luka in a heartbeat, but I'm not sure about Meiko. I actually love Meiko a lot, so I'd feel bad about not getting her, but I don't think her character design would be terribly exciting as a DD. I guess it depends how she looks. I really can't see them making any non-Crypton Vocaloid though.

 

As for outfits I'm hoping they make Miku's Colourful Drop and Rin's Cheerful Candy, I'd get both of those.

They're really cute, although I'd be worried about the tights.　Gingertea actually made these before.　Gingertea does quite a lot of vocaloid outfits I hope get made officially...I really like Honey Whip but I'd be too worried about staining though. http://file.ginger.3rin.net/R0171391-2.jpg

I FEEL THIS! Whenever I get around to making my custom Kaito, that's definitely the first outfit I'm making for him. Unless Volks releases him first, then I'd probably go for the official. I am silently hoping

Why oh why have I never seen Cat Kaito before? It is glorious. That made my day.

It's cool to see everyone's responses! I've seen some designs I've not seen before in this thread.

 

I suspect everyone wanting a Luka will be in luck, but we'll see what Volks decides to do.

Man, while it's very unlikely they'd be made to sell (since more moe designs seem more popular), these would be fantastic to see even as one-off pieces.

I wonder if you could do it with a sort of molded plastic? I think Ringdoll put out a "wig" made of silicone (?) and while it wasn't as elaborate as this maybe a similar principle could apply...it's too expansive for soft plastic probably, but maybe a hard plastic thing that would snap into place, or attach to itself and the head with magnets...you're right though, I think, that it would be pretty expensive to do.

I've heard of Sonika, but never saw her Taiwan design before looking it up just now. I think that design would make a really cute doll.

 

As for me, other than the definitely not going to happen v-flower...

Part of me very much wants to see Gumi's Muzzle of Nemesis and Master of the Hellish Yard outfits. But it would probably stain terribly...and they're not very moe at all:

If they made the Master of the Hellish Yard outfit though I'd probably get doll-Gumi just for that.

A Seth Twiright would also be awesome and very unlikely.

 

Also, pretty much any of the girls' outfits from this collaboration with what appears to be cosplay supplies?

j/k But kinda not. I've wanted to order every single Vocaloid outfit, even before I got my Snow Miku, but moneys. My number one want was the twin's Akuno outfits, so that wish has been granted, though not my favorite version, so one day I'll make the versions I really wanted.

 

So for the twins, I'd love the "Remote Control" outfits. Bonus points for lights! For Miku, I really want the "∞ -InfinitY-" outfit and wig.

I love v-flower's original design so much. If not the doll, I want the outfit.

 

I'm glad I'm not alone in this xD I think the original version probably has the best change of getting made (so, er, microscopically more than zero lol). That outfit would be amazing to see in doll form. Though it'd probably stain like nothing else...

What an impression that must have made!! Couldn't have started him off with something easy like PoPiPo, huh? (I kid, I'm drawn to a lot of the darker/more dramatic songs, so admittedly I'd be liable to do something similar )

 

I think the more human looking Bacterial Contamination Calne would be a very creative and doable mod. All of the little cosmetic details to the face would be a lot of fun to add on (was thinking this sort of thing re: Dark Woods Circus with all of the flowers on their faces, too).

I used "Don't Look at Me in That Way" to introduce a friend of mine to Vocaloid. He said it was the most disturbing song he ever heard. Looking back, Bacterial Contamination probably would have been a better choice.

ehehehe I think, knowing me for as long as he has, he would have suspected that any cheerful song I showed him would actually have some dark or at least trolling plot twist at the end. We met at a science camp back in high school, where I was that one kid who was always talking about bacteria. >__< (I wanted to be a microbiologist...)

Yeah, I think Kikuo songs generally would get that reaction. Bacterial Contamination is creepy, sure, but Kikuo has a way of getting into the psychology of very bad situations that tends to be particularly haunting. I would have to say Gomene Gomene is up there as for most disturbing song I've ever heard.

 

Back on topic of outfits, I'd definitely like to have Rin's Chateau Cepage dress.

I can't find a full length shot of it, but the skirt has a beautiful lacy train and petticoat.

I'd love to have Akita Neru as a DD. She has always been my 2nd fav to Miku in the Vocaloid world.

 

 

Add her thigh high boots and phone holster and this image shows her really well.

I'd kill for Rin and Miku's Colorful Melody outfits. They've always been some of my favorites! The snow bell version would also be great for Miku

I'm not as super invested in Vocaloid as I used to be, but if they made a Candy Addict Full Course outfit for Miku I would buy that SO SO HARD.

Rolling Girl outfit would be cute and easy. I just love the song.

I'm so happy they're releasing the Deep Sea Girl outfit, I'm excited to see owner pics.

As simplistic as the outfit may be, I'd really love a Magnet one with those really cute butterfly headphones. But I also would really like a rolling girl outfit as suggested above because it's one of my favourite songs
