Mario Posted April 7, 2017 By records, I mean of people bring stuff in to sell to Mandarake? So here is my story. I bought some SD13 outfits a few months ago from Mandarake. One of the outfits has working pockets, I didn't realize this until now. So I dug through the pockets to see how deep they were. And to my surprise I found a gold ring!(Human sized not DD size) Question is, does anyone know if Mandarake keeps a record of their clients bringing in stuff? I don't know if this ring has any sentimental value(wedding/friendship/etc). I would really love to return it to it's rightful owner. I would personally email them but they take a while to reply(Plus I wouldn't want them to charge me extra suddenly ). If they don't keep a record, I assume I should just keep it. Monty Posted April 7, 2017 I'm really not sure but its worth asking. I've sold stuff to Mandarake before and they've had me fill out a form where I wrote my address and stuff, so there's a possibility. If you want to return the ring that badly, it wouldn't hurt to ask. Either that or this is the start of an anime and you're the Chosen One. It's certainly unusual! *twitter*instagram*art*
K-2 Posted April 7, 2017 Maybe it's really a DD bracelet.
Oni-Chan Posted April 7, 2017 Im gonna agree with K-2 that it could be a dd bracelet? But also just in case i would notify mandarake, but keep secret and use the description of the ring as an indication of true ownership. I often use people rings as dd accessories eg: Tshirts by Shoujo Magic, on Flickr Tshirts by Shoujo Magic, on Flickr Happy birthday Mariko by Shoujo Magic, on Flickr I have more dollfies than my age in years *×*
Mario Posted April 7, 2017 Im gonna agree with K-2 that it could be a dd bracelet? I had it checked, and it's real gold. I was told it's possibly a wedding band. I dunno I have huge doubt someone would use real gold for their DDs.(I am sure there's people out there who, do don't quote me on this.) But also just in case i would notify mandarake, but keep secret and use the description of the ring as an indication of true ownership. That's actually a great idea! Thanks! Maybe it's someone special ring and I am sure they miss it. I know I would be devastated losing something so special. Hah, that could only mean my boy doll is the chosen one Maybe it's really a DD bracelet. At first I thought it was somekind of bracelet but there's some engraving inside(usually to indicate how many karats a gold ring is) It has an engraving of 22 Karats inside ------------------- Oh I also forgot to mention, the ring was inside of a SD13 Boy suit, this is why I had doubts it's meant to be a bracelet but idk. Ooooh! The romantic in me thinks maybe it was part of a failed proposal?? Someone put the ring inside a set for their partner's doll, but the partner didnt like the set and sold it off not knowing there was a ring? Or they put the ring inside the set intending to propose but instead got dumped, so sold the set, ring and all to forget about the relationship? Please keep us posted on what happens though I have more dollfies than my age in years *×*
twinage Posted April 8, 2017 Oh wow, what an interesting experience But I always feel that Mandarake staff inspect goods really throughly, because they can even tell if there a little scratch in a box or something. And if it clothes, they also see if there some torn or loose thread or something. Though this is just my assumptions seeing how detail-oriented they are. Maybe one of Mandarake staff is actually the one who left it there?
sklurk Posted April 9, 2017 or the owner bought it for the doll cause she was his waifu. That could be a real possibility. Either way if you know which mandarake filled out your order you can include that info if you contact them about it. Japanese are meticulous bureaucrats, I would say the probability is pretty high they can find the original owner to ask and make sure. I'd be a very japanese thing for you to do if you attempt to return it. lol.
