Mikoto Nui Posted April 10, 2017 Howzit, Everybody! I'm MikotoNui. I started getting into the doll collecting hobby since almost last year at 2016. And by almost a year, I already have a small collection of three dolls and I can see myself that I can collect for a few more before stopping for now. The oldest one is a custom made Dollfie Dream that I put together part by part, the second one is a custom made Smart Doll I ordered at Anime Expo last year and the last one is a Mini Dollfie Dream and like the first one I put her together part by part. So yeah, I have a bit of a small doll family that I'm proud of. I wanted to be in this site for so long because I'm still new to this hobby and I could use a bit of guidance for my future dolls to have, and after getting through some hurdles I'm finally here! Unfortunately I didn't get to visit the Big Island, though I went to Maui and Kauai occasionally. Hmmm.. the smallest island of Hawaii that fits that bill to me is the island of Kauai(I could be mistaken). My fourth doll is gonna be.. a bit of a hybrid of dollfie dream parts. Or more frankly, it's gonna be mostly a DDY body with a modded DD3 M bust, and the head is gonna be also modded(a DDH6) by me for the character I'm creating after. But for starters; I'm planning to make my own eyes for the doll and dolls to come, but it's gonna be a slow progress since my comp's acting up. Which kinda sucks.. Also thanks for telling me what I need to unlock showing pics! But how many posts to go to show signatures? elianti Posted April 25, 2017 Ahh, my island(Guam) is smaller than Kauai. Based on land area, it's closest to Molokai but even smaller. Still part of the US as a territory, but located in Asia. It makes shipping from places besides Japan and the US really unpredictable. I'm hoping that you don't have nearly as big a problem in that area. ^^" And that hybrid plan sounds really nice! Pear-shaped girls are pretty unique around here, and DDH-06 is super versatile. I feel you on the eyes.. I designed my own(and made some derpy quality ones of the ones I had printed lol), but computer issues and general laziness is keeping me from designing the updated/resized versions. It's worth it though--you don't need to settle for someone else's design. I never actually used a signature on these forums. xD But I guess if you don't see the option listed your user control panel>>profile, then it probably unlocks after 20 posts as well. Mikoto Nui Posted April 25, 2017 The shipping situation is kinda okay. But whenever I order stuff from Volks International, I don't have a way to keep track how long it would take. But I'm kinda used to it. I truly wanted to make a pear shaped girl doll since I got into the hobby because if modded right, the M bust fits well with the body. I'm just a bit miffed with the DDY's 'girls' cause it's a bit.. eh. If there's anything that's gonna be a problem for me, is that trying to find the right clothes for the poor girl due to her body shape. And head would be a little bit of challenge cause I'm planning to mod her head and make her.. into a bit of a triclops based on one of my charas.
