Sheryl eye dimensions?

Hi,

 

Would anyone with Sheryl Nome mind measuring her eye hole dimensions--how long across at the longest part and how tall at the widest part vertically?

Looks to be 15/32 of an inch wide, and 5/16 of an inch high.

 

My caliper is boxed up, so that was done by eyeballing it with a ruler.

 

She takes small eyes for sure. I had customs made for her by Lizanna awhile back. There is a thread around here somewhere with a bunch of different eyes installed. Sorry I don't remember enough about it to find it.

I think it's worth mentioning that the Sheryl sculpt's eye holes are different size. I didn't really see this when I still had her default eyes in, but once I ordered custom Lizanna eyes and tried them in, I noticed that her left eye is smaller than the right one... so, with certain styles, even 20mm eyes might look rather big in her.

 

Here's a comparison that I did:

 

 

There's 18mm size in her right eye (the bigger one) and 20mm size in the left one. As you can see, with this kind of a wide iris design, 20mm size fills up the smaller left eye almost completely. But if you want a more cutesy look, then of course it doesn't matter too much. It's up to your personal taste. ^^

With a narrower iris design, 20mm eyes work nicely for a more mature look as well:

When I measured it was the eye on the right side of the photos.

 

I have 18 mm Lizanna Moonlights in her, and they look great, but they almost fill her eyes completely.

 

I also had to use an xacto wood carving knife to carve out a bit of the vinyl inside her head to get the eyes to fit correctly. There is a ridge inside where they carved out the eye holes, and it was creating a noticeable gap between her eye socket and the eye, so the shape of the eye you install may matter too. At least that was true on mine.

Thank you both so much! This is very helpful. I'm starting to think that Sheryl will make a good candidate for the character I have in mind.

Here are photos of the custom I had done with Sheryl. She looks good on both a DDIII, and DDS body. I had her on a DDIII, but I swapped bodies with her and Chihaya (DDS-SS bust.)

 

Chihaya has a great big head, and looks much better on the larger body. Sheryl looks great on the smaller body.
