Yuna Posted April 18, 2017 (edited) Hi there! My name is Yuna and I live in the Netherlands. I have been collecting resin BJDs for several years, but I am a complete amateur when it comes to DDs! My other interests include gaming, VOCALOID and vintage/antique items. Since I'm not very good at introductions, I'll get straight to the facts! As I have been a fan of Kagamine Len for about nine years now, I once told myself that I would immerse myself in the world of DDs if Volks were to release a doll based on Len. As a result, I have been blessed to learn that I will be receiving my very first DD soon! DDS "Kagamine Len" was ordered from VolksUSA yesterday and Volks shipped him out later that day. It will take a while for him to travel from the US to NL, giving me some time to learn how to take proper care of him. As a result, I stumbled upon this lovely forum! After owning BJDs for five years and being exposed to them for about seven years, I know quite a bit about them, but the vinyl DDs seem far more daunting! I trust that I will be able to learn anything that I should know about DDs here and I look forward to seeing all of your beautiful dolls! ♥ Edited May 2, 2017 by Guest "You're entirely bonkers. Monty Posted April 18, 2017 Hello! Len's one of my favourite DDs, I hope you like yours as much as I like mine. Even if he isn't 'Len' anymore... I gotta say I really love your avatar and how nostalgic it is for me - I'm positive I had the same one on a forum years and years ago. *twitter*instagram*art*

I've seen multiple of your photo stories and your dolls are just adorable! I hope that I will love him, too. I'm not at all experienced with DDs so I am not quite sure how to feel about them yet! Thank you, what a coincidence! I couldn't decide on an avatar, so I temporarily selected a random one that I had saved to my PC. I'm so happy to learn that there are more Len fans on this forum! Redwizard Posted April 18, 2017 Oh cool! I'm half Dutch and half dual citizenship with the Netherlands so it is nice to see my motherland has interest in Dollfie Dreams. Welcome! I just got here myself.

Oh, that's wonderful! I'm actually Canadian but I have been living in the Netherlands for the longest time. Are you located in NL as well? "You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. Heh, I haven't even had DDs that long myself. I only got my first one - Rin - in September last year and then before I knew it I had four and a floating head. They're really fun, what can I say. *twitter*instagram*art*

galatia9 Posted April 22, 2017 Congratulations on your Len! Nine years is a LONG time for him to arrive, isn't it? I started with resin BJDs too. Yuna Posted April 23, 2017 No I'm in Texas right now. I haven't been to NL since I was 15 I think? I need to go back someday. Oh, a very good friend of mine lives in Texas! It seems like we've switched continents, haha! Congratulations on your Len! Nine years is a LONG time for him to arrive, isn't it? I started with resin BJDs too. Luckily DDs have been very easy for me to get to know! Linda S. galatia9 Thank you! Nine years really is quite a long time, but I'm grateful that VOLKS is finally giving some other VOCALOIDs a chance, even if it was somewhat delayed. I do hope that they'll release more of them in the future! I usually prefer BJDs in terms of aesthetic (I haven't really fallen in love with any DDs yet), so I'm not planning to buy any more DDs, but seeing how addicting dolls can be, time will tell! How long did it take you to adjust to vinyl dolls after owning resin ones? "You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are." How long did it take you to adjust to vinyl dolls after owning resin ones? Not long at all! The posing is generally much better because the inner skeleton holds poses and DDs weigh so little. I do find the DDs addictive! Most of mine have been inexpensive because I put them together myself. And I've always preferred the anime esthetic for my BJDs anyway, so DDs weren't a very big step for me. kiddo Posted April 24, 2017 Gawrsh I'm late lol, but welcome to the site! I hope you get your Kagamine Len dollie soon!
Yuna Posted April 25, 2017 Gawrsh I'm late lol, but welcome to the site! I hope you get your Kagamine Len dollie soon! Thank you! Len arrived at my friend's house early last week, but she doesn't feel like shipping him out yet (or at least doesn't seem to). Shipping from the USA to NL usually takes about three weeks, so I'll be happy if I get him in about a month at this rate. "You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret.
