Introducing Miku: the Short Version

I'm calling this the short version because I just did a long version on my blog that explains Dollfie Dreams to my regular knitting readers. But, that means I have a shortcut to post pictures here until I get my Flickr all settled (long story there).

 

 

I'm sure everyone here has seen her box before, but it is so nice! I like seeing the special boxes that the character dolls come in. I can see why some people take the time to turn their boxes into beds for their dolls. They are just the right size and come with storage inside! Double win.

 

 

It took me so long to put her wig on for the first time. I was going to the card shop with my fiance and he got a little impatient waiting for me to figure it out. I did finally get it, but it was rough. I wanted to pose her like she was on the box. It is going to take me a while to figure out how she moves.

 

 

She is just such a cutie! I've already taken quite a few pictures of her. Most of them are ending up on Instagram at the moment. I just love her so much! She is just the right size! I spent all evening on the first night just dressing, undressing, and re-dressing her. And admiring her toes. They are just so nicely sculpted! I wish Volks would make DD feet made for flip flops and those types of sandals.

 

I can't wait to start knitting for her. Deciding what to make her first is going to be the hard part.

 

I can already tell that she won't be my only DD. I already have hazy plans on making a custom girl, but that won't be for a while. So until then, I'm going to spoil my Miku rotten!

Congrats on your Miku. She was my gateway drug into DDs as well (I'm sure she was for a lot of people.).

I got it with the Volks cooking set. It also came with a knife, cutting board, and a cut daikon. I mostly got it for the leek though.
