Is it just me or did Volks USA updated their DD page?

After going through 30+ Dollfie Dream-related materials on my Alerts, I just noticed that Volks USA updated their Dollfie Dream® page last Friday.

Can you spot what I saw? It's a section labeled Dollfie Dream® Sister!! Volks USA will be selling DDS items starting Saturday, December 3rd at 11:00AM PST on their online store. This Saturday - DDS items will be available for purchase from Volks USA!

 

Dollfie Dream® Sister base body soon? Maybe not this year, but I can speculate that it may be released later next spring during the next major Dolpa (Doll Party). Don't quote me on this, because I'm NOT an insider.

If you really want the DDS, all the parts can combine. I'm hoping for a WS DDS though :3

Ah, that's good to know! I was thinking that a part may be missing~ Have you assembled all the parts together?

 

DDS Body: It costs $320.00 + $22.00 (pair of hands) = $342.00 (not including tax and shipping).

It looks like the skeleton is already in the arms and legs. Took me a minute to figure out why there was only a torso skeleton for sale.

I'm thinking I may very soon be ordering all the parts save for the bust piece for already planned hybrid testing ( See "A Dollfie Dream Prince?!?" thread in the Character Concepts for more info.) I'm actually really excited to see the DDS body for sale at VolksUSA, though the prices shocked me until I realized the skeleton was included inside the arms/legs.

 

I agree about a WS DDS. ^^ I suppose only time will tell as to when that will be released, hopefully in the next year or so.

XD Well, Rarity wants her little sister, so either a DDS or an MDD for her, but I think a DDS would make a cute base for a younger girly boy type. ^__^

 

Also it would mean I could finally make Anka as planned. ^^

I agree with Mitsuki. The DDS would make for a great base body for your project, LordNoir! Keep us updated on your project!

So here's a question - if I want to make my DDII shorter using DDS parts, which ones can I get? I'm guessing height difference is mostly in the upper and lower legs...?

 

It is hard to tell with the clothes on but I think the torso/hips and thighs are the biggest difference. I think the photo of the DDS on the left is even shrunken to exaggerate the smallness of the DDS body. I think the shins are almost the same between DDII and DDS.

To me, the difference is mainly in legs. They're shorter, and the torso is a bit longer.

And waist is also slightly wider than in DDII

Overall, the DDS proportions are more human-like, imho.

I really would like to have a DD3 for my Lily. It will be cool to have 3 different sizes.
