Completed Miku Outfit Collection with Stain Monster

With the arrival of the the Mikuzukin Set from Volks Int. I now have all of the released Miku outfits (Well, all but the hair clips for Snow Miku. Still looking for those if anyone has some they'll part with.). And knowing that the thread on this outfit stains, I threw it in my dedicates bag and ran it in the washer. After two washes I noticed that the once white bag is now pink! A total of three washes and I gave up and put a body suit on Miku. The white lace is now pinkish, as is the once white dress liner. But it is so kawaii!

Miku looks so cute! It's definitely one of my top favorite outfits for her. Is it harder to dress her with the body suit on?

It's such a downer that Volks makes adorable outfits like this but couldn't care less that they stain the girls. It drives me nuts! Adding a body stocking takes away from the overall look of an outfit in my opinion so I rarely use them but I do know why most other people use them. I've had MANY outfits stain my girls and it's just a fact of owning DD's that this will happen. I do my best to keep them safe from stains but it still happens.

 

It would just be nice if Volks actually *CARED* that what they make messes up their products.

 

Sorry to rant, I just hate seeing pretty girls wearing known stain monsters and kind of cringing even when they have on a body suit. Your girl DOES look adorable in this tho and I'm glad she's not going to get stained!

have this outfit too, and it absolutely needs a bodysuit under it ... which then makes the set's adorable stockings bulk up the foot too much and getting the shoes on is a Herculian-level chore!!

Gratz, Sinclair! I know you've been trying to get that one for a while now.

I didn't find it too hard to put the outfit on her with the body suit. And yes, it kind of ruins the whole look, but it's better than having her laid up for a couple weeks while I try to remove her stains. I still haven't destained her original legs and lower torso from her first monster stain from leggings (Kind of got most of one thigh and foot done, but have been lazy and not done more.). I think once Volks USA gets more semi-white body suits in I'll buy some extra that I can mod by cutting the arms short to match this outfit's sleeves.

 

Speaking of this outfit, how do you keep her hood on her head? I noticed it came with a strap on the wolf that's the same color as her hair, and they don't use at all in the promo pics. I can kinda get it on and under her chin, but her hair looks funky, and the moment I pick her up to move her it comes sliding right off. I'm about ready to put her twin tails back on and just leave the hood down or off.

 

Now that I have all the Miku outfits, one of these nights I need to have a long photo shoot and do some photo shopping.

Speaking of this outfit, how do you keep her hood on her head? .

 

Ribbon with elastic piece goes around her head, wolf clips onto the ribbon, hood clips onto the wolf!

 

It takes a lil bit of maneuvering, but the elastic piece needs to be on the back of her head not under chin.

If you don't use the wolf, the hood snaps straight onto the ribbon instead.

 

it is absolutely there in the promos, you just don't ... when you don't know how to look for it, you won't notice it. It's a skill to brush the wig around that ribbon a bit when it's on

So around the back of her head. I'll have to try that. I thought about that, but it didn't seem like it'd work in my head as I wasn't sure what it'd hold on to. But that's also explain why I didn't notice it in the photos as I was looking for under the chin. Anywho, I just love the shape and fit of the dress. I might try to copy it later with my mother in law's help. It's getting really warm here and my girls would love to have some really cute summer dresses.

.... it... the weight of the hair over the elastic piece at the back of her neck should be enuff? It's how we girls tie ribbons on our heads in real life?

 

The hardest part, i find, is brushing out a few strands of the front of the wig here and there out of place, then placing the ribbon on, and then brushing those wig hairs back into their orig place so they hide ribbon a bit

if the ribbon is still misbehaving, buy the tiniest hairpins at the drugstore, and physically pin the ribbon to the wig in a couple places

What can I say, I'm a guy, who has never had a ribbon in his hair, a father to 3 boys, and have a wife who pretty much does her hair either straight down or pony tail. So my experience is lacking on the subject.

I was very happy when I first got this shirt, immediately put into my miku

and never removed, only today

Yeah, mine looks exactly like this, and it stained my Miku's shoulders. How are you so lucky?

 

Luckily, I didn't get a big ol stain from the zipper though.

That's how the inside of mine looks too, except the white liner is now all pink.

 

And thanks for the reply on the outfit. Figures it's for some other set.
