LoveAngel Posted November 29, 2011 Me again... I got two pairs of shoes for Yukino: One that came with this set;Another I bought at coolcat. The one from Volks fits perfectly, of course. But the one from Coolcat hardly fits in and I cannot even put the body stocking with it. It says that the shoes are for DDs. Is it normal? Is there anything I can do to loosen them up a bit? Where can I get shoes for Yukino-chan? So many questions.... EDITING: I forgot to mention that I have bought these on Dollfie World and they are huge for Yukino-chan! XOHimitsuOX Posted November 29, 2011 I haven't bought shoes from Cool Cat. However i did buy some from iplehouse. The shoes are nice fit, not loose, but slightly a tight fit with socks. The boots are a tight fit and quite hard to put on. Here's my post of those shoes: http://www.figure.fm/post/en/26347/Loot.html Here are some shoes that i might get some time from Leeke World: http://www.leekeworld.com/En/Product/p_list.asp?B_catalog_num=29&M_catalog_num=111 I also got sneaker keyrings that ended up being the right size for my girls to wear. They were super cheap too http://www.figure.fm/post/en/23693/Lost+Keys.html
baldylox Posted November 29, 2011 Normally, the DD foot can take a 7cm to a 7.9 cm shoe. 7cm being the smallest size you can cram their feet into and 7.9cm being a little loose barefoot. I also have some shoes that are quite large/loose on the DD that I got from MimiWoo. Alices Collections tends to have larger sizes as well but all the ones I have from them lace up so I can tighten them to fit well. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
LoveAngel Posted November 29, 2011 Thanks for the info, guys. I am really getting lost with all those sizes and stuff. It is really a pity that VOLKS doesn't have many of their products available online. For a newbie like me, it is quite a struggle to figure out everything. mitsuki Posted November 29, 2011 I think you can get away with boots being too loose but it can be harder with sandals or dress shoes if they are too loose. I don't know how to make tight shoes looser. The one thing about Volks shoes designed for DD is that they will fit nicely for sure. They can be very expensive though. I have gotten some cheap ones off Ebay that worked well. I think something like 9 cm is too big, but like Baldylox said, something from 7cm to about 8cm works. LordNoir Posted November 29, 2011 My girls so far only have shoes from Alice's Collections, and they've fit them really well. Ichiko's also worn Az's thigh boots which are from RingDoll without any issue ( aside from the shoes being for a male doll foot rather than a female doll foot.) My major concern is really because of dark colors. With the one I have now, staining is not an issue, but if I ever want to get darker shoes... I think it is better that they are slightly loose so that I can wear socks with it. Wordpress - Twitter - Facebook Proud mother of Yukino-chan, Aoi-chan, Ms. Mariko and Millhiore F. Biscotti. jadepixel Posted December 1, 2011 I've had good luck with the boots from Alice's Collections, the white ones are white inside so they're pretty safe, but I usually have stockings or socks just in case. The ankle is a tight fit since DD joints are large compared to resin SD. The other AC shoes I got were a bit too long and too tall for DD feet, though. Also, these shoes from Luts fit perfectly- http://eluts.com/shop/step1.php?number=1408 Although you'd never know it from the description ^_^; jadepixel doll lab jadepixel eye shop
archangeli Posted December 1, 2011 The SD13 size from Nine9Style fits DD's very nicely. The flats are a tiny bit loose without stockings, but perfect with them. What I also really like is that if you're only ordering a couple of things (less than $120 total I think) they have an airmail option so you're not forced to pay $30 EMS shipping on 2-3 things! I had bought a pair from Cool cats too and ..I had broken them when I have try to put them on my doll, because they were too small. I could fix them, but they are still really hard to put on. I told myself I was just a bad girl or had no luck with this pair, as I had only heard good things about coolcats. I feel a bit better to know I am not the only one ( I mean so it is not (only) a problem from me ) Currently Kaori has Volks Lorina's shoes, and they are a little too big for her, even with socks. It is not a very big problem but she can't stay easily stand on her own. It is very difficult to find shoes! I told it to Natsuki but she does not want to understand Home : Hitomi, Kaori, Lily, Natsuki, Kotori, Yui, Kagami, Aï, Maya, Hana
LoveAngel Posted December 5, 2011 ^^I can't imagine how you do it. I already struggle with just one girl. I am hoping to have funds soon to try the suggested sites as well. Otherwise, Yukino's pictures will remain boring always with the same outfits. Wordpress - Twitter - Facebook Proud mother of Yukino-chan, Aoi-chan, Ms. Mariko and Millhiore F. Biscotti. That's not true really. Even if she only has one outfit, you can still take lots of different pictures of her doing different things. I only had one outfit for Manami when I first got her. So I did photos of her playing video games, looking out of windows, going out in my front and back yards, etc. You can still have lots of fun with Yukino just by mixing it up. Also, you have her slip and undies that came with her right? Thats two outfits! You can take pics of her laying down with your kitty, laying on the bed, watching TV, etc. Lots of options! So don't worry about her only having one set of clothes, as long as you enjoy your time with her, she'll be happy. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. Poofiemus Posted December 5, 2011 Billy's right. For the first two and a half months after I got Agatha, she only had one outfit (which I later sold because it was so not her). We still found plenty to do even then, and would have found more if I had had more time. I did a couple pretty "glamour" shoots, one in my grandparent's backyard before I redid her faceup, one in my bedroom after, and then there was a photostory involving Rasputin the steampunk bug-bot and Agatha bossing my Figmas around. XD On top of that, it took me about ten months to get her a pair of shoes! Even now, Agatha has only one pair of shoes and five dresses, two of which are holiday-specific designs that don't get out the rest of the year. So just have fun; that's the cake, and the wardrobe is just the frosting. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
LoveAngel Posted December 5, 2011 Thanks for the support, guys. I guess I am being over concerned (as usual). I really want to share my love for Yukino-chan with everyone and show how beautiful she is. Unfortunately, I am not confident at the moment. I am working on my photography and post processing, but it will be really cool when she gets new looks too. mitsuki Posted December 5, 2011 I agree with Baldylox and Poofiemus. You don't need a lot of clothes to have fun. The clothes Yukino-chan does have are so nice too! I think you shouldn't worry too much about getting professional looking photos. You should just have fun. Worrying too much might stifle your creativity. It is fun just experimenting with taking pictures.

Don't worry! First, your pics are great! and I am pretty sure in a few time Yukino will have her own dressing full of beautiful clothes. I was afraid too in the beginning and now, I have a lot of stuff, I even can't understand how this had happening And here important thing is fun! I am totally picky and never happy with pics I take ( and the last ones were the crappiest pics I have ever took, due to bad lightening ) , but I really think people here don't really care about that, but just want to have fun with beloved doll. We can see your love for Yukino in the pics, and so your pics are just gorgeous! I had exactly same feeling at the beginning. But be quite, 2 is really not too much. And just imagine the pics and scenes you can do with 2 and impossible to do with one doll. And the fun Yukino will have with a sister to play with her Ok I am the bad devil of temptation Home : Hitomi, Kaori, Lily, Natsuki, Kotori, Yui, Kagami, Aï, Maya, Hana
LoveAngel Posted December 6, 2011 Aeris, you and archangeli are my favorite teasers. It is just that I know myself way too well. If I get myself a second, I will dream of a third, and it will go on and on and on. Maybe if I were skilled enough to get a second hand DD (for an affordable price) and put her back like new as see many do it, I could speed up the process. Unfortunately paying more than 1000$ for a DD is out of question (no matter how beautiful, sexy, adorable, sweet etc they are). Mainly because I have to add the customs to that. Ouch! It will come though. It is really amazing to see the large DD families all together (and by large I mean 2 or more). For now however, I will enjoy of Yukino's companion only and make the most out of it. It is only one and my credit cards hate me already.
