Hey! I pre ordered my 2B during November and I’m supposed to be in the second wave. Has anyone received their payment requests yet?I’ve noticed some people have gotten requests but I have yet to receive one...

I got it on Volks USA.

If I'm reading here correctly, I think it's just Volks Japan/International that has sent out the second wave emails.

Volks USA is currently closed until April 19 due to the virus situation.

Based on a new shelter-in-place order issued in the California Bay Area, non-essential businesses are allowed to ship existing stock as long as they implement social distancing in the workplace. I don't know if LA will loosen it's own version of the order, but if they do it potentially means Volks USA could start shipping products again.

The Mayor of LA is expecting people will be told to stay home for 2+ months, so it's possible that Volks will have to stay closed past April 19th.

I want to stress that so far there has been no announcement of any change to Volks suspension of business, and I haven't heard anything about a new announcement in LA, so as of now this only applies to the SFO area.

Speaking of which, Volks Int is not able to ship anything overseas via EMS due to the virus.
From their post, it'll go out once everything starts back up again.
I'm not really worried about it, just hope the situation worldwide gets better soon.

Not yet, but I plan to do so if I can snag a 2B head secondhand. Was then going to get her a DDdy body, but mod a smaller DD bust for it.

I'm in the third wave and I'd been delaying my payment since it's not due until May 12. I logged into check on the Volks International store and I can't complete my payment! "An item that cannot be ordered has been removed from your cart."

Anyone else having this problem? I'm guessing it's because the second wave shipping is being delayed, so it's going to further push back the third wave. I'm just a little worried since there's been no updated statement about the third wave.

It could also be an automatic bug due to the fact that they just halted all international orders. I would assume you don’t have to pay until that’s possible again.

So it's likely as @Monty says; just a side effect of no payments or ordders being accepted outside Japan at the moment, and this note verifies any payment deadline will be extended.

There is also this page though I believe it's specifically about customers in Japan.

I'm still trying to figure out how all this affects the second wave from Volks USA since our payment was expected in May. I'm not worried but it sure has made things complicated. Normally I have a clue when to check my email for a payment notification but this time it is very confusing and I get concerned I've missed it. This may be the most delayed batch of DDs Volks has ever had.

Volks USA will surely provide an update, when they know what is going on.

There was another tweet on the volks_dd Japanese twitter stating that the second batch in Japan was scheduled to be delivered starting on April 11, but that is now delayed until some future unknown point. I'd speculate that the second US batch hasn't yet been shipped from Japan to Volks USA either, and the shipping troubles everywhere are going to impact and delay that.

I'm thinking I'll get Mash before I get 2B.

I'm expecting the Fate dolls will have major delays at this point. Odds are good all of the production will be slowed as as result of this, and some of it could even end up stopped. Even if Volks production itself is still operating full speed, Japan's infrastructure as a whole will likely be impaired for quite some time, and that will impact business schedules.

I love everything about the NieR: Automata fullsets EXCEPT THE WIGS. I finally found two really good replacement wigs for 2B and 9S. I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm not great at using the styling wax, but I also prefer a slight silver tone for their hair.

For those of you expecting updates from the VOLKS USA side, I just received an e-mail that they are not expecting any changes to their Delivery Schedule for the Second and Third Wave Pre-orders.

The remaining payment of the Second Wave will start to be requested from this week. They don't mention exactly what day but they do highly encourage everyone still waiting for their second wave payment, to check your mailbox for this week in case you haven't received yours.

There is also a final note in regards for those who requested pickup. They will be sending instructions directly, for those of you who chose this option, with details about how to proceed. Since I am not in the second wave PO or an LA resident... I don't know what these exact details are.

I pondered making a pickup but that's not about to happen for the obvious reasons.

I'll ask for delivery instead.

That's been going on since at least April 11 when someone asked about it in that thread. I've checked off and on, and once in a while I've gotten the front page but usually I just get a forever spinning icon in the tab bar, and the few times I got the front page couldn't get anywhere else.

They must be thinking they'll have this fixed before payment requests go out; at least hopefully.

Anyway, good to see that they are somehow managing to keep the original schedule.

It's still somewhat sluggish, but the webstore is now functioning for me.

Dumb question, sorry (Dollfie newbie), but is it too late to order 2B? I keep looking at pictures of her and really like her even though I am not familiar with the game. I don't have the money saved up now, but I'm afraid trying to get her after market I'll be paying extortion prices if I really want to get her. 😛

Yes it's too late; preorder period was October - December 2018. The Nier dolls were a bit different due to some production delays; generally each year there is a pair of preorder dolls that are available to order from October - December, and they are delivered late the following year.

If you're in the US, there may still be chances to get her without going aftermarket. Volks USA may have leftovers if someone doesn't pay for their preorder and they may sell those on the website, or they may have her available at some various events later, as they've done with selling dolls like Luka, Asuna, and Kirito over the past few years.

Mandarake sells her for 120,000 yen when they have her, and their prices are typically fair so that's likely the going aftermarket price.

I’m expecting this years pre-order project to launch on schedule, but I have a feeling the FATE dolls from last year are going to be delayed. I hope not, but I think we all need to brace ourselves for a long wait, and it’s going to be out of Volks control. They have to do what their government says to do.

Another possible issue is that while Volks makes the base dolls in Japan, I'm unsure where the wigs, clothing, etc. are made and whether it's Volks' own factories or contracted to others.

I expect the various DD releases this year to have delays. The upcoming online Dolpa will probably still have Sakura, but unless her manufacturing was completed before this all started, instead of being available immediately, she will probably be handled something like Luka or Matoi. It's possible if there was a second DD for this Dolpa it might just be moved to a later event. The next Dolpa is Hometown Dolpa Kyoto 17 currently scheduled for 08/30 and hopefully things will have improved by then, but I could still see the dolls not being immediately available. And there probably won't be anything between the two events, unlike Yuriko Nanao's release two years ago.

Speaking of Yuriko, I hope Volks is still able to do something for the Idolmaster 15th Anniversary this year.

Concerts are out, so Namco will need to celebrate other ways. I hope all the VAs are safe and well.
