It'd be cool if Volks started having resin animetic eyes, so there was a source for those easier to obtain for people who don't live in Asia and can't go to those doll events to buy things like Hisyo-Hisyo.

I've gone resin and I can't go back, nothing compares to the clarity and vibrancy. They really make the colors pop. Even eyes that aren't meant to be super colorful just look so much clearer and brighter.

It really helps get rid of the dead eye, and/or bug eye look I see a lot of pics end up with because of lack of reflection.

My problem is I can't stand the too-visible edges of the round clear lens on most acrylic eyes since it extends on the sides beyond the iris for anything but round eye designs. I've only found two types of eyes that are an exception to this is they are made differently with a clear dome that covers the entire eye--Volks eyes and Smart Doll eyes, and I don't like any of the Smart Doll eyes so I'm left with just Volks unless I can find anything else made that same way.

Pink is 2B, green is 9S, and stores will have different ones on display at a time. The important part; they have confirmed they’ll be displayed without the blindfolds! So I’m assuming there will be two of the dolls - one with the blindfolds and one without. I was worried they wouldn’t display them without the blindfolds as I assumed it would mean having to have four dolls out at once - I didn’t think of them displaying one character at a time. (Akiba and HS-Kyoto have them both at the same time though)

Fu kuoka has 9S first and im hoping my friends can go get a bunch of pics, but I was really pleased with the quality of the Akihabara ones posted earlier (a pleasant surprise because Akiba usually have the preorder dolls in a glass case) so I don’t mind waiting for those if my friends can’t make it on Saturday.

(The stores in order are: Akihabara Doll point, Nagoya, Osaka, Yokohama, Kobe, Sapporo, Utsunomiya, Hiroshima, Sendai, LaLaPort, Fu kuoka, Hobby Square Kyoto - for those curious. Note that not all the displays start on Oct 20th)

Looking forward to seeing them in person without the blindfolds. I’ll be lining for the clothing release and then back at Dollpoint at 3PM for the preorder start. So I have a legit excuse for going to see them more than once in the day this time.

Finally, no-blindfold shots incoming! I'm only (maybe) interested in 9S for the head, so being able to see the face as a whole--and not at a wonky angle--is pretty vital to deciding if I want to deal with the madness of a split or not.

Well yeah, I wouldn’t have expected VolksUSA to use different photos to the international site. The new photos are coming tomorrow when the display dolls hit (most of) the physical stores. There will probably be a whole bunch from people on twitter, but Volks may also do an official DD blog post on the faces as well.

If there's anyone seeking 9S' outfit just let me know. I'm just wanting the nude doll and wig.

Congrats to you and everyone else who is finally getting to order these. A year will go by pretty quick. (I say that, but the iDOLM@STER pre-orders seemed to take forever to get here. XD )
