sinclair Posted May 6, 2017 Today was Free Comic Book Day. On main street of the city I live in, there was a comic store that was leading the event in downtown. The family likes to go to get comic books, so we've been the last couple years. This year I decided to be brave and take Miku with me. I have a shirt that has shoulder loops, so I (With the wife's help.) sewed a band with snaps that was just big enough to go around Miku's thigh. Now she could sit on my shoulder as I walked around. Here she is waiting for us to go. Yes, that's an infant child seat. No, she did not travel in it. We have a couple old ones that my boys have grown out of, but they still like sitting in them, so they are still in the living room for now. Maybe I'll dress them up and they can be lazy boys for the girls. Anyways, here we are out on the street. It's towards the end of our adventure, so she is tired of sitting up there and is trying to scoot down into my arms. It worked mostly okay, but as my bag got more comic books in it and got heavier, it made it hard to balance her up there. I got several looks and finger points. Two people said they liked my Sailor Moon, one of them took my photo to post on Instagram. I could of corrected them, but didn't bother ruining the mood as we were all out to enjoy the event and get free comics. One teen said she liked my doll, another little girl said she liked my thing. One guy did stop and recognized her as Miku. He heard about DDs, but this was his first time seeing one in person. Here we are back home with our spoils. We did a decent job at not getting too many duplicates. But we were tired and done for the day. 91 degrees outside when we got back to the car. baldylox Posted May 6, 2017 Wow, that is one huge haul! Very impressive. I'm glad you brought Miku out! As you saw, plenty of people are curious about DD girls, especially when they're as cute as Miku. It's great that you got so many positive replies and comments about her!
