Silverwing Posted May 12, 2017 I was totally late doing this one, But anyway, last month I went to Sakura-con with a couple of friends and we had an excellent time there. I only live a couple hours from Seattle where the convention was held so I ended up taking a greyhound. It ended up being cheaper than if I drove there myself and saved me the trouble of having to bother with Seattle traffic. I ended up getting there fairly early so the girls and I just hung out in the room the day before the convention. Makoto seemed to believe there were two beds so she could jump on one and sleep in the other. In the end I think she was just more excited to have the remote to herself without having to share it. After a few hours Galvatim arrived so we took off to retrieve him from the airport. there was this really cool hanging glass thing at the train station. It was really exciting meeting other doll owners in person, even with all the time I've been in the hobby this was only the first time I had really been in public with my girls apart from the odd photo shoot at a park or arboretum and bringing my Saber to Sakura Con back in 2013. Miho was all about the pineapple themed muffins at Galvatim's hotel. We went to this neat diner off the street that Galvatim was staying on the food was so good! The ambiance was cool too. Makoto was totally pumped to meet the other girls on the first day of the con! But I was dumb and underestimated how long the lines were for registration! we missed almost two hours because I was too lazy to do it the night before. There was a really nice doll meet going on near the back of the convention center. Galvatim's Natsuki and Mitsuki's Miki were also there. Meanwhile Miho had a relaxing day to herself in the hotel room. Day two was Sakura Day the girls all wore Sakura themed japanese clothes. The Arcueid and Rem that were there were gorgeous, I didn't get a chance to meet the owner unfortunately. Mitsuki's Jedi Aoi tried to mind trick me into getting coffee. in the dealer room there was an artist who was selling Tentacle kitties. We ended up buying a whole bunch of them. I guess it's a webcomic or something. I'd never heard of it, but the tentacle cats were adorable. Seattle is such a great city. always something to do or go see. I didn't want to leave. We went to a Japanese grocery store later in the day so we would have snacks while we watched youtube videos. The melon bread was awesome! I'm Miho was trying to do a Neko pose but I don't think she really got it." "The Japanese restaurant was only a few blocks away. Chinatown was lovely! Lots of cool Asian architecture everywhere. The food was really good too. Day 3! It was bittersweet because we knew we'd have fun, but we still had to leave later that night. ToT. From this experience and my previous one bringing my Saber to Sakura Con, if you want attention at a con, bring your dollfies. we got a ton of nice compliments both there and around the town from curious people. Mitsuki's Anaise is so cute. ^_^ Impulsive Silverwing note: I've seen other people's miku's in the past and thought they were beautiful, but seeing this owner's two miku's in person pushed me over the edge, I ended up buying both when I got home. Surviving on ramen for two weeks afterwards waiting to make money again was totally worth it. Makoto got tentacled! Makoto demonstrates how buff she is with her favorite "Muscle Buff-flex" wrestling move. After pizza, it was about time for us to leave. We didn't want to go! from there we said goodbye to our friends and made our way home. I'm so glad we got to hang out with Mitsuki, Galvatim and all their girls! We had the best time ever! Next year we plan to do it again in Japan!
sinclair Posted May 12, 2017 Looks like it was fun. I love Miku, she was my gateway drug into this hobby, but then I've been a fan of Miku for years. But yes, those two were absolutely stunning! I'd love to see more photos of them in those outfits.

I'd love to see more photos of them in those outfits. It was so much fun. The convention itself was wonderful of course, but for me, actually meeting and speaking to others in the hobby in person was the best part. I had seen the Miku DD for the first time about a year ago online, but seeing that face in person just pushed me over the edge, she's one of my favorites now.
