Another girl joins the family!

Yep, you read that right.... I've adopted another girl! Oddly enuff, I didn't *really* adopt her. She was a bonus added to a lot I bought off Facebook that had a bunch of random parts and a parts body. The previous owner said this head had basically been sitting in a drawer for a long time and it was time she moved on to another person who could give her some attention.

 

Needless to say I was happy to get her and see who she would become. I had no plans at all for her, not even an idea for what body she would work on. But once she arrived and I saw her face up close, I knew I had to put her on a body that none of my other 03 girls had.... a DD2 M-bust.

 

Once her body was figured out, it was on to the eyes and wig. The eyes took me a little bit of time but once I put the ones she has now in her head, it was a cinch. Same with the wig.... I tried maybe 10 different ones on her and only two of them stuck out to me. I tried them both out and then decided on this long one she has now.

 

So with all that out of the way, it's time to introduce her! Say hello to Ami!

Here's a funny fact. I spent at least 45 minutes trying out eyes on Ami and I never even saw the little heart on her left cheek until my GF pointed it out. It's hard to see but it's an adorable touch that I love.

I'm usually not big on open mouths for DD girls but Ami has a very slight smile that shows a little teeth. It's very well done and not overboard at all. I really like it!

Good god, man, you're like. . . some kind of magnet for rescue girls. You just go shopping and then they get stuck to you.

 

Ami is really lovely! I think the eyes do at least resemble WDS's eyes, so maybe that's what they are? Great overall look for her though.

That is correct! Ami makes 46. And you are probably right..... but I'd say it's more like THIS year than next.

Thanks! I totally agree with you, I sure couldn't have done that. But hey, things happen and not everyone can assemble complete dolls quickly. I don't knock the previous owner tho, things happen and other stuff takes priority.

Heh, don't be. Getting free heads isn't cheap.... I had to get a body for it! Luckily I had a repaired parts body here so I was able to keep costs down due to that.
