A brand new eye for Ryomou!

Ok, first, some backstory.

 

Ryomou was my 7th girl and a total surprise. Please see here for THAT story:

When she arrived, she did NOT have her default eye with her. I didn't find this out until many months after she arrived. I tried for months to find one for sale but never could find one. Finally I heard about Ersa Flora, a company that makes custom anime eyes. I got together with Mitsuki and we got some designs together to send to Ersa Flora to try them out.

 

The one I kept in Ryomou was this design:

That is an actual screen shot in high res I took from the anime itself... the second season of Ikki Tousen, Dragon Destiny. This was the best way to get across the design I wanted for her and why shouldn't it be? That is her anime eye! You can't get better right?

 

So when the eyes came in, I put it in Ryomou and got this:

It was super shiny, caught light like crazy and looked almost exactly like the anime design! I couldn't have been happier.

So, now we're at the present day and things have changed.

 

I sent my Eiji head and eyes out to my friend Jadepixel for some "secret mission" stuff. When he got back from his "mission" a pair if eyes was sent back with him that looked really nice. I guessed that Jade had sent them along in order for me to see how her eyes looked. They were very pretty and I figured that one of these days I may use them in a new girl. So I put them away in the drawer where I keep all my other DD eyes.

 

Skip ahead 2 weeks and I'm going thru the eye drawer to clean things up a bit. That night I had Ryomou with me as it was her turn to hang out with me. As I went thru bags, I came across the Jadepixel eyes. I looked at them again and suddenly it hit me............

 

SHE HAD SENT ME RYOMOU EYES!!!!!!

 

It didn't even click with me before but now that I had her right in front of me, it was obvious. I immediately took out the Ersa Flora one and put this one in to see how it looked. What I got was this:

Perfection! No extra light needed for that eye to shine bright and look totally amazing. I was shocked.

 

I immediately messaged Jade, telling her thanks and asking how she knew I had been after Ryomou defaults. The last time I mentioned it was years ago.... for her to remember that was just super cool.

 

But then she replied to me...... it wasn't on purpose, it was a complete surprise to her that those were exact matches for Ryomou eyes! She had picked them at random to send along so I could see her work. How friggin awesome is it that this happened? Crazy I tell ya!

 

Anyways, I just wanted people to see the amazing work that she does and to share in my happiness for finally having what I know are the perfect replacements for Mou-chans default eyes. Here's one last shot of Mou, looking all awesome.

Jadepixel always does amazing work Like I mentioned on Instagram, your Ryomou and my girl Nozomi (from Love Live!) share the same eyes now. Those are actually the Love Live! eye design for Nozomi that I had Jadepixel create for the Erica head I had her transform into Nozomi It's great to see how well they work as Ryomou's default eye. And since it was a pair you now have a back-up eye in case something happens Congrats on getting her default look finally perfectly complete after so long

I'm still totally amazed that these eyes are the exact same color, style and look as both Ryomou and Nozomi! But as you can see from my pics, these ARE Ryomous' defaults. It's uncanny. But also awesome. And you're right, I now have the perfect anime eye backup AND both of those Ersa Flora eyes I was using before. So I'm set for anything!
