Mari's Special Project

Mari has set up her cloner for a new project...

 

 

Kokoro: "She's going to wake up soon!"

 

 

Kokoro: "Thank you so much Mari! I can't wait to meet her!"

 

Mari: "It's no problem at all! Just keep in mind that she's half human, so she might not have a tail, or fluffy ears."

 

Kokoro: "It's amazing that you could mix my DNA with yours and create a whole new person!"

 

 

Aoi: "The cloner? Mari, you know you're not allowed to use this!"

 

 

Mari: "It's fine, I'm not cloning you again."

 

 

Kokoro: "She's waking up!"

 

 

Cloned girl: "Oh, hey mom."

 

 

Kokoro: "Rina! Let's get you dressed."

 

 

Aoi: "You cloned a daughter for Kokoro?"

 

 

Mari: "Yeah. She asked me, so I mixed up our DNA and created Rina. I used the cloner to rapidly advance her growth."

 

 

Kokoro: "Do you feel all right, dear? Are you hungry?"

Rina: "I could go for a bite."

 

 

 

So that's the story of how Rina came to be. I never put any thought into why Kokoro would need to go through such a complex process to have a child, other than "Mari wanted to do it this way." Mari was possessed of sorts by Kokoro, in the course of her research on magic, giving them a special connection.
