Doll Point ‘Build-a-DD’: Dream Choice!

DD blog made a post last night about new DCoord info mostly, and it has a lineup and preview images of heads up to 017!

I hadn't heard of any heads past 15, so that feels pretty exciting. I can't read most of it myself, but someone who can might want to make a new thread for these new molds when we get more info.

Poor Google Translate interpretation: It sounds like they will be showing off 17 dolls total, including a new DDH-15 head, which is a D'Coord limited head. The girls labeled 15, 16, and 17 are all the DDH-15 head.

 

And they're also showing Dream Choice limited heads, which are the girl labeled 13. They also announced that there will be DDP girls for the D'Coord line-up (the girl labeled 10).

Aw shucks, sorry for the false alarm then I'm sure eventually we'll have a ridiculous number of DDH standards like FCS has, but not just yet.

This is actually the lineup of lottery d'coords for Dolpa this weekend. It's also the debut of 15, a new d'coord exclusive. But it's also the first time dream choice heads have been included in a d'coord lineup.

Honestly, she looks exactly like Sakura Shinguji

Though I can see the very strong resemblance between Sakura and DDH-15, for some reason I don't really feel the same strong "have to have her right now she's perfect" feeling towards Sakura that I got looking at the DDH-15--can't really explain it but I really want a DDH-15 while Sakura wouldn't really make my wishlist, y'know?

 

Also, it's neat that the DDP is getting some more distribution. I seem to recall it being added to the D'Coord lineup recently, right? Or did I imagine that? It's very possible that I did, if so ignore...

Sakura's eye holes are larger. Except for that and the different colour of the eye brows the DDH-15 looks like a 1:1 copay of Sakura. xD

US Manager Hideyoshi said it was 'very likely' however the service is still 'new' in Japan so there's no ETA. He gave the Volks USA online FCS as an example of the form it might follow when it arrives.

You can only order one doll per session... So if you want two dolls, you need to book two separate times, and so on. Make sure to have a lot of time if you want multiple dolls, since they only book one doll per hour (3pm and 4pm, for example) and unless you're able to book the times in advance, it's also possible that they won't have two times available one after another...

DDH-11 and DDH-15 are D'Coord exclusives so not available through Dream Choice. The DCH heads are -12, -13 and -14. The D'coord exclusives are just called DDH, I'm guessing DC is for Dream Choice or something. The new DCH-16 will come to Dream Choice.

11 and 15 are D'Coord, not Dream Choice. They're different things and they both have exclusive heads. D'Coord exclusives are 11/15, and Dream Choice exclusives are 12 (flat-mouth DDH01), 13 (open-mouth DDh01) 14 and the new 16.There's a thread for the D'Coord exclusivers here:

So no, you can't get 11 or 15 through Dream Choice - you can only really get one by luck if theres one in the current lineup the day you/your proxy visits Doll Point - however they do tend to be there quite a lot and the only time I've been recently and seen neither was in the middle of Golden Week, the busiest time in Japan. (there was a 15 the next day though)

 

anyway here are the new updates to Dream Choice, copied/pasted from the Volks News 79 thread:

 

Number one, DDP is now available as an option, meaning DDP is now available in brown and semi-white. This could also mean we are another step closer to having DDB and DDSB available in Dream Choice as well. Even if it takes another year.

Number two, the new f3 frame is now available for all sizes except MDD. Theres been a slight increase in price because of this.

Old prices, without tax:

MDD - 53,000JPY

DD/DDS - 56,000JPY

DDDy - 58,000JPY

 

New (also without tax)

MDD 53000 (no change)

DD/DDS 59800

DDP 57800

 

 

And number three, a new head! Meet DDH16! She's the kind of head I had been waiting for, another new mature one, and she's debuting with three possible faceups.

I'm not sure about the first two but I do like the last one. I'm exciting to see what her custom potential is!

DDBoy and DDSBoy! They’re now currently the only ones that have never been offered outside the limited dolls they came with (Len and Kirito) so I hope they join Dream Choice eventually.

Personally I’m kinda glad that I took the Dream Choice plunge when I did before the f3 update... Although I am interested in how much better the new skeleton is, the price rise(that doesn’t include the 8% consumption tax) really hurts, especially if you want a DDdy AND would have to get help from a proxy with all the extra fees that comes with that. ><" With that being said,

Really late, but I used White Rabbit Express as my proxy and I recommend them if you feel like you absolutely need a doll that you can only get by Dream Choice. I really wanted to get my tan girl within this year and I knew I had no chance of visiting Japan for a while so I resorted to a proxy. Their regular fees are pretty high compared to several other proxies, and they do charge additional fees for in-store pickups, but their customer service was always very personable yet professional. They have staff that own DDs and know how Volks works too so that’s really reassuring. Earlier in the month they had a service fee sale that made the total cost for everything much more comparable to the only other proxy I knew that would do in-store pickups(FromJapan). I like FJ for yahoo auctions and simply buying stuff from online stores, but from prior experience I know their customer service tends to be pretty inflexible if anything goes wrong. FJ would have been cheaper but I didn’t want to take a risk with a really big purchase like this. ><"

 

I hope that by the time I get the opportunity to visit Japan again, DDSB would be an option in Dream Choice. Actually getting to buy a doll when visiting Doll Point is something I wanted to do but wasn’t able to the last times I went. ;___;"

Hi guys. First of all i’d like to thank all who posted in this thread. The infos are all very useful and helped me a lot. I am planning to get a Dream Choice soon.

 

I’ve decided it will be a tan DDdy with a 14 or 16 head and model T eyes in purple. I assume model T is exclusive for DC.

 

But what am still considering is which wig to take. I’d prefer something DC exclusive as well. Because the other wigs I can just buy later. So if anyone would be kind enough to specify which is which would be very much appreciated.

 

Also, currently, is the 16 head also a DC exclusive like the 14?
