Sophie baby bear on Facebook and Instagram, I haven’t bought a Dream choice using them, but I know people have recommended them.

That is who I was referring to on Instagram. If they've been recommended and others have had a pleasant experience then it may be worth biting the bullet and just making an Instagram account, even if just for that purpose lol. I really appreciate your input! 

Thought I should update this thread again now that there’s an additional update for October - the one piece ‘asexual’ MDD body, and magnetic elf ears compatible with all heads. No idea if or when either of these will be available outside Dream Choice.

Also, somehow I completely missed this blog post from way back in August but Volks recently put all the faceup options online for ease of reference? A lot of people have probably have seen this already but just in case, it’s a great resource! They show the model photos from Volks News as well as photos of display dolls.

Aaaahhh I'm heartbroken DDH-03 isn't available anymore through Dream Choice.
Yukino has always been my dream doll but I only recently found out the DDH-03 was made in tan for a really short amount of time. Someone here posted one early in this thread and it's the only tan DDH-03 I have ever personally seen myself! I went to look online on sites like Mandarake and eBay to look at the past sold listings to see if there have been any popping up in the past but I just can't find any others! 

I'm heartbroken as I feel like this is the one doll I will never get my hands on. The one on this thread is the only one I have ever seen. Even if one ever pops up for sale I feel like I won't be able to afford the price tag. I feel like with most dolls you can still get them second hand quite easily, but this one seems impossible to me... I'm really so sad, she looks gorgeous in tan and Yukino/DDH-03 has always been my grail doll, and it has always been my wish to own a tan doll, so those two together is like the ultimate grail for me 💔

She’s available on Surugaya and YJA for reasonable prices, but not in tan 😕

Yeah normal Yukino or DDH-03 is easy enough to find. But the tan will be impossible 😭

I haven't tried them out myself yet personally but the two I always see recommended the most are Japan Doll Direct on facebook and Sophie Baby Bear on both facebook and instagram. These seem to be the best options. Just shoot them a message asking if they can help you get a Dream Choice doll and the options you want for the doll. I'm assuming since they deal in this sort of stuff that they will have a scan of the catalog for you to choose from, but if not I recommend using this handy guide by Jade Pixel Doll. It should help you with all the options available and you can just send these to your chosen proxy and go from there! 

I've used Sophie Baby Bear's proxy service through Instagram twice now and it's been very smooth. On her Instagram page she gives a link to this order form:

To get started, I followed that link, filled out the form, and gave her my Instagram details. She contacted me on Instagram a few days later and we handled everything else through Instagram DMs.

I ordered through Sophie baby bear three times so far and I don't think I'll likely use other proxies for as long as she is open.

She sends many photos of your items and inspects them before shipping. Many proxies do not do this so if your item has defects or problems it's pretty much an "oh well, it's been too long so nothing can be done.". It's really wonderful. Anytime I've had a concern about anything she has checked into it for me and I always felt better after.

On orders that are high cost to ship, she has gone above and beyond to try and find the best rate. 

I really cannot recommend her enough! I'm planning to order at least 3 different dolls in the next year, and will probably order all through her service.

 

I usually resort to Florent Auvray on facebook.

He is great for EU orders as he know the pain we go through with customs duties and inspections, so he really helps!

His fares are very honest, too.

I am from EU too and what you wrote sounds very good. 

May I know how much he charges as fee? Did you just wrote a pm through fb or does he have some order page?

Yup, that's him (although I suggest you remove a link to his personal facebook profile)  you can send him a DM, he has a flexible rate (10-15% depending on the items), and is very trustworthy.

As for the dream choice wigs; I have read online several times you can choose 1 additional wig to buy (from the limited ones), but on the Volks information page it says 2 additional ones?

Unless they changed the rules super recently, it’s one wig with the doll and one additional, same with the eyes.  Trying to parse the Japanese, I think what they are trying to express is that you can get two limited items per order but you could get more of non-limited items.  The last time I ordered was July 2021. 
 

In terms of which wigs are available, the filled in circles are available outside of dream choice.  The double circles are only in Akihabara dream choice.  The open circles are in Osaka and Akihabara dream choice.

Yeah, hopefully someone can clear it up because I don’t remember what it said before and to me that’s the obvious way to read it while alternative interpretations to get it to how it worked in the summer feel far less natural - but after the tweet where they implied they had a whole Kaito doll on display a few months back I no longer trust volks nuance 😅

Do the red wigs from dream choice stain? (I know darker colors from Volks do stain, but that's more of an intense color than dark color)

Any other dream choice ones to be careful with? (Beside the black ones of course)

The one that came with my Dollfie Icon, I'm assuming a Dream Choice wig, does. Not the hair, but the wig cap itself is a darker beige and stained my doll. I thought it was light enough to be safe.

Yes, the full black circles are the ones available outside of dream choice.  Note, they are still only available in the store in Japan.  You can’t buy them online, but they are not limited to only purchasing with a dream choice.

Basically, any wig cap that isn’t white can stain.  Any darker color wig in choice will have a black wig cap and will definitely mean you need to protect your doll.  It seems based on the above that the beige ones can pose a risk too - so far I have not had the ones I’ve gotten with my yellow choice wigs stain but yeah… always a risk.

I don't of the stain; thankfully I caught it before it got bad. But this is the darker beige cap on the wig.
