Volks news 74

Towa and Lilliru are super cute, and Towa is a must have for me at some point. I'm very intrigued by the Dream Choice system they've introduced especially with variations in faceups and what not. It'll be nice to see it in person when I go, and hopefully I'll come back with a girl (maybe two )

Outfits will be available on the Volks website on August 26th at 11.00 and 12.30 am Japanese time.

 

So many stuff that I want : the teddy bear bag and both of the blue Dreamy Star Night outfits (SD and MSd size).

Yes. All of you keep being distracted by the Deep Sea Girl set so I can sneak in and get me Magical Snow and the School Nurse set.

I was able to get the mdd/ddp school uniform, mdd hoodie, the black singlet top, the skipper shirt and the sd light blue jeans

 

Hopefully i can get the swim suit thay i want ^×^

Welp I only got some stuff I wanted, but the swimsuits? Are they not out yet? I'm so confused.

The rest of the stuff will be available in about 20 minutes. (the ones that still say in preparation)

Ah I see. I've never sat and waited for one of these to open, I usually just get to it within an hour or two. Crossing my fingers!

This one was brutal. Got most of what I wanted, including deep sea miku, the beige school outfit, and the sandals. But didn't get pure wind or the black school outfit. =/

Got the bathing suits and hoodie I wanted, but didn't get the deep sea or the Ruri outfit. The website was so bogged down that it took my almost 15 minutes to check out. Besides slow, the buttons kept not loading or not working when they did. Eesh.

 

congrats on the people who got the deep sea outfit and everything else they wanted! I'll have to wait for the aftermarket for that stuff. Lots of expensive outfits I wanted this time around ><

You can just leave it in your cart if you're logged in. Stuff stays in your cart for 8 hours then.

Ugh, I hate how much time they're putting between events this time. At least I had a chance to hang around and get everything I wanted (Alna's outfit and military suit for incoming fella). I really liked the Pure Wind/Ruri maid set but hate being forced to pay for shoes I won't use... maybe if I have some cash when it comes to Volks USA I'll try for it then.

And if you missed out keep checking back, Volks sometimes restocks items or they get timed out/dropped by scalpers over the next few hours.

For some reason I had a brainfart and thought the School Nurse set would be part of the batch released at 12:30. Derp. Now it's showing as "will be restocked"

 

I got the Magical Snow outfit though. I guess I'll just check in over the next few days to see if the one I missed comes back in stock or just wait until Volks USA runs this event.

I picked up the one set I wanted, which was the Pure Wind set.... But honestly I only wanted those shoes. If anyone wants just the maid set hit me up~~

Wow, I'm glad I went today - the Fu kuoka store is usually pretty good at having stuff stay in stock for months but when I got there today (about 2 hours after it had began) the MSD dreamy star nights and the teddybear bag were already out of stock and I got the last of the SD sized dreamy star nights. (I have no idea if they restock or not, but it did say 'last one' on it, so...)

It's really lovely! It's a much better fit for Rin than the candypop was because it doesn't require a bigger bust to fill it. I'll let Miku have the candypop - it sits a bit better on a DD body than a DDS even though I still have to pinch the back with a pin because her boobs arent big enough for it, and they can be pretty pastel princesses together.

The print design is just too cute.

Also picked up a bunch of new MSD sized stuff - hoodie, shirt, shorts, boots - for my Renee.

Dunno if anyone plans to put any of those things on an MDD but they look cute all together and I might try it once I have one.

 

and... I wasn't gonna get the pure wind set. I did want to get it to begin with because I wanted to put it on Mel (and everyone else, but Mel seems to wear all the dresses I have better than any of the girls), but it was expensive so I thought I'd just leave it and pick it up later if it was still there. Anyway in the stores the staff always dress up the display dolls in the new outfits so you can see how they look on a doll...and they'd put the maid dress on Len. So hey, at least then I knew it fit the DDS boy pretty damn well.

After seeing that my hands were tied on the matter.

It's an amazing set though! I was really impressed with the quality. I especially like how stretchy the white shirt is, so it can accomodate a range of bust sizes without looking too baggy on a flat-chested girl (or boy). I have no idea if it could fit L-bust, but I'll try it on Bri later.

 

When everyone else's stuff arrives I wanna see pics! Especially of the stuff I didn't get/couldn't afford. That was the most I've ever spent in one go on Volks clothes ;_; (mostly cos of the Pure Wind set) I hope all the outfits in the September volks news are ugly.

edit: By the way, I wish I was allowed photos but they had the school nurse set on a DD - I couldn't quite tell if she was a DD or DDdy but I thought it looked pretty good and only a little baggy in case anyone was on the fence about the sizing.

I wanted to buy it but decided against it in the end. My girl already has enough cutesy/Lolita-ish outfits and so far, nothing has been able to top the Candy Pop outfit.

Especially of the stuff I didn't get/couldn't afford. That was the most I've ever spent in one go on Volks clothes ;_; (mostly cos of the Pure Wind set) I hope all the outfits in the September volks news are ugly.

 

I understand the sentiment. I wanted a lot from this batch: Magical Snow, Deep Blue (Elegant), Deep Blue (Beauty), Pure Wind, School Nurse, as well as a lot of the separates. But I really want to start dialing back. I've already written off the Deep Blue sets as ones I probably won't get. I hope the September volks news outfits are ugly too.

 

I second the sentiment that your Rin is super cute in that outfit, and I already liked her in the Candy Pop set. I'm looking forward to pics of the pastel princesses.

 

That Pure Wind set looks nice. I guess I should have gone for it for Candy, but I don't know.

Something about Len's face suits it very well. The Fu kuoka staff certainly thought so, since they used him as the model

I think he stopped caring a while ago.

Ironically unlike Gunter the shoes were at first the only thing I didnt like in the set and i was considering selling them myself (was also kinda bitter about how much they drive the price of the set up), but when I saw them in person I fell in love with them. They're so snazzy!

I think that is fair. I've just always loved the sneaker-like looking heels. The last pair Volks released are hell to try to find in the aftermarket and go for around $100. I'm glad I could manage this~ <3 Seeing your pics make me even happier that I decided to take a chance with it.

 

Though honestly my favorite thing is looking at your adorable Renee. o3o

Yesterday the School Nurse set started showing as restocked. I tried to add it to cart. Every time I did so I got the message "unable to provide item". I kept checking through the afternoon with no change until the button disappeared (late evening my time, around noon Japan time). Only now the item doesn't show as "will be restocked". It also doesn't show "sold out". It's just some kind of limbo unlabeled status, and is the only item in the store like this.

 

Well, at least it isn't like an SNES Classic.
