Hello! My name is Kay I have been collecting resin ball-jointed dolls for a couple of years but have only recently stepped into the world of vinyl dolls - I'm in love with just how easily they can hold a pose!

I only have one DD at the moment, a DDH07 girl, who I'm currently in the process of modding and giving a new faceup, and I also have a Smart Doll Ebony.

I'm a fairly quiet person and a sporadic poster, but I'm looking forward to joining in with conversations and learning more about the vinyl doll hobby

Hi, Kay!

Same experience here! BJD first and then DD! For me, the biggest difference between BJD and DD is the weight the 1/3 or senior doll are so HARD to carry!! but for DD size, it makes everything much easier LOL

Welcome to DollfieDreams!!

Welcome to DollfieDreams!!

Thank you both!

It's fantastic how much lighter DDs are compared to BJDs; trying to handle a heavy doll and a camera at the same time gets awkward! Plus I'm much less afraid of damaging my vinyl dolls than I am my resin ones. Now, if only vinyl didn't stain so easily then it'd be perfect - I don't think I'll ever worry about staining on my BJDs again now that I've experienced vinyl doll ownership!
