Are the thigh parts of DD2 and DD3 interchangeable?

My DD3 body's thighs were recently stained by the chair of volks's classroom set.

 

I applied Remove-zit to the stained areas and washed it after 3-4 days. 90% of the stains on both thighs were removed, but I noticed that the back of the right thigh, where I applied remove-zit, was swollen.

 

If the swelling does not subside after time, I will probably get a new thigh part (without internal frame) for my doll, but only DD2 parts have "skin only" options on volks webstore, so I was wondering if DD2 thigh parts (without internal frame) will fit DD3 internal thigh frames and DD3 shin parts?

Don't know about the fitting of the thigh parts, but I've used Remove-Zit on all of my girls until now and the swelling always went down after a few days.

I've use a lot of Remove-Zit (3+ tubs in 8+ years) and the couple of times swelling occurred it subsided after a few days.
