How many dolls CAN you fit into a car??

That's a question we decided to try and answer at yesterdays doll meet at my place!

 

Originally we were going to do a sewing meet but only 2 people actually did any sewing. We had a nice group of new people show up this time and everyone was a bit excited about our "clown car" concept so not much sewing got done.

 

Anyways, AsianEd decided he wanted to see how many dolls we could actually pile into his brand new 2017 Mazda MX5. Why I don't know but I was all for finding out. So he drove it down from Charlotte and put it in my garage. From there we tossed every doll that showed up to the meet into it!

ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THREE.

 

Yup, we counted them as we pulled them off the car. 123 dolls in total were stuffed into and all over that Miata! I'm not sure if it's some kind of record or not..... I'm not even sure this has even been done before.... but still, it's SOME kind of record I'm sure and it was hilarious, fun and awesome to do!

So after all that craziness, we got back inside the house and settled in to the regular doll meet stuff. Items were traded and sold, outfits got sewed and I took pics of some of the dolls that showed up.

 

Eblktty is back in fine form after I repaired her hips and leg.

I love this girl. She's normally on a smaller body but someone else was using it so she hopped onto this DDdy one. I think 01 heads work really well on DDdy bodies.

So that was it! We had lots of fun, got to meet some really nice new people and set a record for most dolls in a Miata! Very productive I'd say.

I noticed you didn't just pile dolls on dolls, otherwise you could have gotten many more in there. Perhaps we should start a thread ranking cars by the number of doll they hold. It's a very important metric you know.

 

Lastly, did anyone take all of them for a spin after they took their time to climb into the car?

I have seen this yesterday and totally amazed by this,this is just insane and the car look amazing too!

We didn't really have any rules, it was just finding places for them and trying not to stack them on top of each other. Many were posed or interacting.

 

And no, we didn't drive it around. It's not like there was any place for humans in there once all the dolls were in place! XD

Well, actually, since Billy owns 46 dolls and there were 123 dolls total on the car...

Assuming all of Billy's girls are on there and he didn't leave any out, Baldylox's girls are roughly 37% of all the dolls on there. Or at least, that is, if my math's right.

 

So over a third of those dolls are Billy's, but I'm sure next time they decide to do something like that his dolls will account for 99% of them.

As Ed said, there weren't any rules per se. We just tried to put as many on there as we had and not have them look like they were just thrown on. We wanted them to be posed or seated or standing, not just laid around or stacked up.... that wouldn't have been any fun. But we did manage to get every doll that showed up to the meet in/on the car!

Ha ha, lordy no! Not only would dolls have fallen off super easily, there was absolutely no room inside that car to fit a human to actually drive the car.

Well, between me and Baldylox, we made up about 50% of the dolls. I had 16, he had 46. 62 of the 123 came from two people... lol

Technically, the dolls sitting on the windshield and hood and standing on the convertible top cover or trunk are on the car, not in the car. The ones sitting on the convertible top cover with their legs in the cabin "parade style" could be considered in the car.

I was talking about the car itself. I don't know anyone with one of those.

 

As for the database, I've got one of each, but sadly don't know enough people that get anywhere near that many dolls in one place. And I'm not too sure my wife would be thrilled if I tried bulking up my number of girls, even if it's for a good cause like finding the doll capacity of vehicles. Unless that changes once she gets her own doll. Anastasia is taking too long to get here...

Holy moly, 123 dolls?!?! Tbh I'm more in awe at seeing such a large number of dolls in one place. It must be so cool to admire so many pretties at the same time.

It was pretty cool for sure. As for the large number, Ed stated earlier that he contributed like 18 girls and my girls made up 47 so between just us two there were 65 dolls. Everyone else brought as many as they could so it was still a very impressive grouping of dolls for sure.

 

The next time we do this we'll use a bigger car so we can stuff even MOAR dolls in to it!

SUV, meh. My brother in law has one of those Ford 15 passenger vans. The girls can fill the seats and under the seats. I'm sure he'd be more then willing to let us use it for such purposes, but it'd have to be local to the PHX area.
