ToriaCrux Posted June 21, 2017 Parabox has these ball and socket pieces listed under "other." They're meant to go in plush toys but they look kind of like the spine in the SmartDoll skeleton. I wonder how sturdy they are? You could probably make pieces out of thermoplastic to connect to the rest of the Obitsu skeleton. Don't know if this would work but it would be cool to have a doll that can lie on their belly and look up like the SmartDoll can. (・⊝・) Tumblr DOA
K-2 Posted June 21, 2017 (edited) They are the exact same items (different sizes) as the Smart Doll skeleton. http://www.jeton.com.tw/en They are very sturdy and "pose" wonderfully. I used them to make a tentacle monster for my web comic MADh Vinyl. Here they are covered with a stretchy fabric to make the tentacles and eye stalks. http://www.dolliehsanctuary.com/sanctuary/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=11933#p134033 Edited January 4, 2018 by Guest

growcian Posted January 1, 2018 I did the "Toy Skeleton in a Dollfie" thing some time ago (as you'll see based the the post dates of the links). You'll have to forgive my inability of not being able to post direct links. Being a new member, I need to get to a post count of 20 before I can get access to features such as image posting and adding links. Anyone curious will have to directly copy and paste the links into a web browser address box in order to view anything. Version 1 (About 2/3 down the page): blog.doll.cafe/2016/09/dr-frankendollfie.html Version 2/3: blog.doll.cafe/2017/03/my-daughter-can-kick-your-daughters.html Version 3: blog.doll.cafe/2017/04/dr-frankendollfie-version-3.html blog.doll.cafe/2017/10/frankenmiku.html I finished version 4 but I haven't taken photos yet. I'll take photos and make a blog post of that in the near future.
growcian Posted January 4, 2018 ...and I have version 4 now up. (Again, if you're curious, copy and paste the link below in your browser. I'll get my post count up eventually.) blog.doll.cafe/2018/01/frankendollfie-version-4.html
elianti Posted January 4, 2018 Ohhhhhh wow. Growcian, you are such a HERO to me! I’ve seen mentions of the sexy legs mod and using Obitsu 60 joints in DDIIs here and there, but it was always in passing and my google-fu just isn’t good enough to find more info about it on the Japanese side. Thank you sooo much for explaining it in English and providing pictures! I’m feeling more excited about attempting a new project now. xD After your first post here, I was going to ask more about how feasible it would be to just use a modded DDDY waist part instead of the obi60 one so that the hip axles would fit without the thighs popping out so easily, but your new frankendollfie spine update already covers that. I’m happy it’ll be ok. It would be nice if the flexibility would be as good as with regular DDs but this is fine too. I’ve been wanting to find a way to mod a DDdyIII too, though my main reasons for it isn’t necessarily to make her more flexible. I’d want her to be about 3cm shorter(I think I can cut off 2cm from her shins without making her too disproportionate), and for personal reasons I’d want her to also be part Obitsu or Parabox in some way even if it’s not noticeable on the outside. Using parabox’s toy skeleton along with an Obitsu 50 chest/shoulder part fits the bill perfectly. I have a few questions though! Do you think I can make the torso of a DDdyIII look shorter by using 1 or 2 less skeleton pieces without losing any mobility? And lastly, would regular DDdyIII arms fit into an Obitsu 50 shoulder part after rounding out the inside of the Obitsu shoulders?

I didn't take photos of what you described for my blog but that does work.
