Volks USA Anime Expo Sale (SAO, Saber, Vocaloid)

A good friend let me know about this and it's true! Everything was listed as available ( 7:55am EST for me when I got the message ) and I was able to order the Ribbon Girl set and get confirmation on it!

 

Sadly, I think I got the last one because another friend of mine tried to get the same outfit shortly after me and it was listed as out of stock.

 

Volks has NEVER listed things so early before on the release date. I wonder if someone *did* screw up and set it up incorrectly? Or, is this an attempt by Volks to lighten the load on their servers come 1pm EST? We all know how haywire those things go when it's crunch time so maybe they decided to try this out without telling anyone to see how things went?

 

Regardless, I'm stoked to finally be able to get that damned RG set! A HUGE thank you goes out to Kranberrijam for letting me know about this!

Aaaaaaand I missed it. :C Guess it's back to stalking the secondhand market for me.

I sympathize with those of you who missed out on the Ribbon Girl set, but I am glad to say I got my order in for the Kirito I wanted.

Definitely seems like a mistake, the website still says 10am PST. There must only have been a couple ribbon girl sets available to begin with. I'm curious if they'll still honor the early orders. Nothing else has sold out yet!

I'm glad some people were able to get the Ribbon Girl Set (I got super lucky baldylox!), but I feel really bad for people who didn't check until the listed time. I went back and kept refreshing the RB page, just to see, but after ten minutes, it still said "sold out." I wonder how many nasty-grams Volks USA will get about this when the people who waited find out about the early sales (and I honestly wouldn't blame them).

I preordered Asuna. Because I need 30 DDs.

I'm sure hoping they honor the early orders that were made..... not just because *I* got a RG set but because they shouldn't punish their customers for a mistake they made ( if indeed it WAS a mistake ). Only time will tell I guess.

 

I did check their website and my order says "processed" on it. I also got a confirmation email stating that I would get another email as soon as they mailed it out. I'll let yall know what happens.

I dunno, it would definitely be awesome if they did but you know how they work..... anything that makes sense to us here in the West doesn't seem to make any sense to them. Let's hope they DO decide to make more tho, it sucks having something so cool be so freaking limited.

Well since *I* paid for it, it's technically mine..... but you're right. I'm sure there will be quite the fight for who gets to wear it first. Altho...... I don't have a ton of M-bust girls to start with so the number of girls that will actually fit into it is quite small.

 

I might force Sprout to wear it just to see her pouty face in that adorable outfit.

Well if you have an white dress shirt(For L size) you can fit Ribbon Girl with L bust girls.

The cardigan is very stretchy and soft it's amazing!

 

I actually use the Ribbon girl for my Smart Doll boy and it surprisingly fits.

Just the white dress shirt it comes with doesn't fit(obvs because it's made for SS bust Miku)

Volks had responded that the items were programmed to go live at midnight July 1st. Not at 10AM

 

 

So whoever got Ribbon Girl and hasn't had their orders cancelled. You should be good.

I don't blame you, if I was aiming for any of these items and they sold out before 10AM I would be salty as well. It was silly on Volks end not to specify that the items would go up at midnight.

What makes this especially odd is that most other Volks events start at 10am, soooo. . . it's completely understandable that people would assume that's what the banner meant.

I forgot I was traveling during this event. Oh well, I'll have to see what goodies are up for the next one. I'm happy for those who hopefully were able to get what they wanted.

Well, it looks like this can actually happen now! I *just* got an email from Volks US telling me that the RG set has shipped and I have a tracking number that works! I'm super stoked now! I've been after this thing since it first appeared and now it's finally heading to me!

The Ribbon Girl set came in today and it is AMAZING. There are so many cute details on it! I'm going to have to do a big photoshoot of it just to share all the cute things about it.

 

But, as promised, I took a few quick shots of Sprout wearing the outfit. She is NOT happy about this at all. She saw the sneakers and immediately wanted to try them on but I told her she couldn't wear JUST the sneakers.... she'd have to wear the whole thing. She grumbled and paced and shot me nasty glances but finally agreed to it.

 

BUT...

 

She really got mad at me when I made her wear the wig. She was okay with having her black hair with this outfit but she absolutely HATES that long green one. So I'm pretty sure I may get stabbed in the night soon so it was nice knowing all of you......

Yes the headphones do indeed have a plastic coated wire that is posable and bendy so you can have it *look* like she's got an MP3 player or cell phone stashed in her pocket. It's pretty dang neat. But sadly, there's no actual player or phone, it's just implied.

Heh, this is possible. But you know how she is about wearing anything not white or a vey light pastel color..... all the bright colors on this are giving her fits I'm sure. Still, she hasn't pulled it all off just yet so we'll see how long it lasts.
