Mikoto Nui Posted June 26, 2017 Howzit folks, I'm currently planning to buy clothes for my doll and I'm tempted to get a black/brown-ish colored pantyhose stockings for my doll's attire. But then a thought came to mind about its properties. Do dark colored stockings cause some staining? I need to know. Oni-Chan Posted June 26, 2017 Some volks socks do stain. A pair of socks i got from alice collection's almost stained from the top ribbing. Socks i sew with fabric from my craft store (washed and unwashed fabric) dont seem to stain. Sometimes i add dark trim (unwashed) that doesnt stain Its very hit and miss :/ if in doubt use a junk hand or spare bust to test instant staining. Or carefully hand wash them. Lots of dye coming out means you'll have to wash them a few times to get excess dye out. No dye coming out means they could be safe but proceed with caution though too. Saber Alter's ver 2 & Xmas outfits come with sheer stockings and they've never left a mark (one pair is black, the other are sparkly brown tights) Volks old BJD outfit with black cotton thigh-high socks stained.... random off-brand (Little Wardrobe maybe?) black cotton knee-highs have been safely worn for months! I was going to suggest to just put them over a body-stocking.
