Obitsu 40cm bust on MDD body?

I have a weird request. Does anyone know if you could fit or mod a Obitsu 40cm bust piece to fit onto a MDD (most likely MDD3 to be precise) body?

 

I have an interesting doll plan rolling around in my head but I need to know if I can pull this part off, otherwise I'll just plan to hybrid with a Obitsu body. I just figured if it can fit why not get the body I know I like more?

 

Plus they do look similar in size, and then I'd not have to modify the Obitsu body for a DD head.

I checked the website and the chest and thighs are the same with different lower torsos and shins.

Apparently obitsu white matches volks normal. Dunno if it works any different if its a girls obitsu chest you want to put on an MDD as opposed to a boys, I guess K2 would be the guy to ask.

 

I wanna know about the doll plan you have!

(I personally plan to make a MDD boy but given that the body is so flat-chested and he wouldn't ever not have clothes on I wasn't gonna bother doing any modification.)

And the plan isn't anything special--I may not even be able to do it if the piece I've got my eyes on is sold by the time I can focus on this project. I have a plan for a tattoo-covered MDD. I really like the MDD body, but my main piece is an Obitsu chest. Sadly, seems like I'd have to do an Obitsu body which puts me off a little. I just aesthetically don't like their joints? I also prefer to keep dolls purely one brand so I can take them to Volks events (I wanna use a DDH10 Head).

 

I guess it is just a sign to focus on my new girl and not try to divide my attention.

You wouldn't be able to see the internal frame of you used an MDDIII. The frame does not exist, like a DDS and DDIII do not have a plastic "rib cage" but the DDII does.

I wouldn't say it's a sign just yet. When I get the chance tonight, I can get you some pictures. I have a Parabox 40 boy and an MDDIII. I'm sort of intrigued by the idea too. Just to see what it looks like lol. The chest should work the same way between the boys and girls chest as far as I know. Can't check the body chart right now.

So first glaring issue is the skin color match. It's more apparent in person too. My lighting is bad right now, but you can mostly see it here. Luckily the color is lighter, so you could probably blush it to match better. (I personally prefer SWS as a match, but it also needs some blushing to match up better, neither color is perfect.) Second, you have a little bit of a gap in the middle going on, but it may not really be noticible under clothes. And lastly...pushing the arms in too far makes the chest squish and get all weird. It doesn't feel like the arms will fall off or anything, it just feels like they aren't all the way in. Modding around the arm socket could maybe fix that though? Anyway, hope that maybe helps a little!

Hmm, I expected a color difference, but this seems actually more than I initially thought it'd be. I really like the piece I wanna buy--I have plan to commission the artist to continue her work from there, but man. It just looks a bit odd huh? (Not that I didn't think it'd look perfect)

I'll have to just think on it. It'd probably just be better to go for a full Obitsu body.

The actual piece is what the project surrounds and it is a female bust, so.... I don't actually wanna make a boy. I know that's the usual assumption, but no. Just happens that the piece I adore is a obitsu chest piece. That's all.

I winder if someone has a MDD3 M bust on the 40cm girl body. I have oreder these for a volks #10 head in SWS.

I have an obitsu 40 girl and a mdd 1 and mdd3 girl if anyone still needs to see comparison pictures of the busts switched around.
