Stowaway!

I just returned from a recent trip ( ok, not really but it sounds good ) and upon my arrival home, I was beat. So I just left all my luggage at the fornt door, took a shower and then crashed for a nap.

 

But little did I know that I had a stowaway in my big bag!

"Hooray! I've finally arrived!"

 

 

"Hmm, this is an odd looking hotel room but that's okay. I won't stay here long!"

 

 

"I'm finally in Hawaii! Sun and surf for the whole winter!"

 

 

"All right, I have my shades and my beach bag, I'm off to the beach!"

 

 

"Now where's the door?"

 

 

"Ummm...... wait a sec. Where are the palm trees? Where are the hunky guys in shorts? Where's the beach??"

 

 

"This is supposed to be Hawaii. I can't have gotten lost, can I? I need to find some locals and make sure."

 

 

"Ahh... there's some locals now! I'll check with them and see what's going on here."

 

 

Looks like the girls are hanging out in the kitchen.

 

 

Miyuki is playing video games as usual.

 

 

Elisabeth is playing with her stuffed animals.....

 

 

And Yukino is playing videos on YouTube... probably "My Little Pony" again. =3

 

 

"Umm, excuse me please. Can you help me with some directions?"

 

 

M - "What in the...."

 

E - "Oooh! A real kitsune!"

 

Y - "Oh hey Elisabeth."

 

 

"Yukino, that's not me! I'm right here!"

 

 

"Wait... if you're there, who is THAT?"

 

 

Miyuki - "Hello there! I'm Miyuki! Who are you?"

 

Mashiro - "The name's Mashiro Mito, how do you do."

 

 

E - "Wow she's cute!"

 

Y - "I agree.... I love those eyes."

 

 

Mashiro - "Thanks for the compliments but I have a question. Am I in Hawaii? What island is this?"

 

Miyuki - "Ooooo....."

 

 

"Well, you ARE on an island but you're NOT in Hawaii. We are in South Carolina, on the East Coast of the US. You're WAY off if you were heading to Hawaii."

 

 

"But how is that possible? I know I got in the right luggage when I was heading out to Hawaii."

 

 

"Oooo! Fluffy! Heehee!"

 

 

"I even have my sunglasses and sukumizu! I was so ready for the beach!"

 

 

"Rats! I knew I should have made that left turn at Albuquerque!"

 

 

E - "Here Miss Mito. Take Mr. Flops."

 

M - "Huh? What for?"

 

 

"Whenever I get upset or unhappy, hugging Mr. Flops always makes me feel better!"

 

 

"Hmm, oddly enuff, I do feel a little better. Thank you."

 

 

E - "I'm sorry you got lost Miss Mito. But maybe you can stay with us until we find out how to get you where you're going."

 

M - "Well, I don't know about all that. I need to escape the harsh winter I'm used to up in Hokkaido. I can't deal with extreme cold."

 

 

"But we're down South! It's warm here! You can stay!"

 

 

Y - "She's right about that. We are in the South and the winters here aren't too bad. Nothing like Hokkaido."

 

Mashiro - "Really? No snow?"

 

Miyuki - "Well, they get snow here but it's super rare if it actually stays for any length of time."

 

 

Mashiro - "I'm not sure tho, I don't want to intrude. I only hopped a ride in the luggae to escape winter and because they won't allow kitsune to fly alone with no papers or passports."

 

Miyuki - "If we ask Papa nicely, I bet he'll say you can stay for a bit!"

 

 

Y - "Yes! Let's ask Papa when he gets up from his nap!"

 

Miyuki - "Yeah! All I have to do is show some leg and he'll do whatever I want. Hee hee!"

 

E - "Yay! A new friend to play with! And she's so cuddly!"

 

Mashiro - "Well, this is better than the snow and ice..... I hope."

Scripple was going to post some silly blathering about congrats on the new girl, yada yada. But I had to interrupt that for this public service announcement.

 

When traveling always inspect your luggage for kitsune infestations before returning home!

 

As I've stated repeatedly, kitsune are foul, dangerous creatures prone to infesting households that aren't careful. You've all probably seen the warnings about bed bug infestations being picked up while traveling and the steps you should take to avoid such things. Well similar cautions should be exercised with kitsune.

 

Make sure you keep your bags off the floor and tightly sealed to prevent such awful hijackers or stowaways. Check your bags carefully before bringing them inside the house when you get home, and dispatch any kitsune pests as soon as possible. If you're only packing the usual clothes and a toothbrush I suggest beating the bag soundly with a bat before opening it for inspection to reduce the chance of the kitsune escaping to infest your neighbors.

 

While you've clearly been negligent and allowed the beast into your house if you act quickly you might able to nip the infestation on the bud. I hope for the safety of your household you're more responsive in these matters than scripple has been.

I'm so glad people got that joke! And there was no false info given to anyone! She snuck into my baggage on her own! She doesn't have a cell phone nor does she know my girls. But given the chance, I'm sure a few of them WOULD have helped misdirect her.

Thanks! She is indeed a cutie! And I agree, more pics with Elisabeth and Mashiro may need to occur. When Elisabeth plays with her stuffed animals, they get placed all over so Miyuki just happened to be a good place for Bun-Bun to sit. Ha ha! Thank you for the kind comments!

 

 

And Rin, you really need to lighten up a little. Not ALL kitsune are foul creatures. Can't you see how Mashiro and your Kitsune are different right out the gate? Mashiro wears clothes, speaks English fluently and isn't trying to intrude. Yes, she did stowaway in my bags but she had reasons for that. She can't help it if the TSA are a bunch of twits with too many rules and silly ones at that.

I'm sure she had reasons, not nearly as pure as you're thinking. And while I agree the TSA has too many silly rules not allowing kitsune to enter the country is certainly not one of them. I wasn't aware they had such a rule but it's a good policy on their part.

This was a great photo story! Really do hope that Mashiro is a permanent resident within your home Especially since the girls have taken such a liking to her! Haha, I find Rin's warnings very amusing~! I know she's just trying to be logical about it all, but perhaps Mashiro can change her mind about kitsunes?

Thank you Mitsuki! The sunglasses are from Alices Collections, Manami uses them when she hits the beach. Yukino's chair was found at a thrift store by my Mom for two bucks, it does have a very Bohemian look to it! Miyuki's video game setup is made of erasers I got at Books A Million. As for Mashiro, she seem to get along with these three girls. I'm not too sure what she'll think when she meets my more "outgoing" girls...

I'm almost positive that Rin's run ins with kitsune will NOT be seen here with Mashiro. I think she was just unlucky in that respect. I think most kitsune are nice and easy to get along with like hers is.
