elianti Posted August 12, 2017 Does anyone know if there are any that fit them? Or if/how well ones made for girls fit? I'm not actually looking for one to prevent stains; my guy often wears a wetsuit so I figured a bodysuit would work fine. These shorty and full body suits from Coolcat are the ideal, though a DDdy Sasara as the model isn't making me confident that it would fit.
archeotech Posted August 13, 2017 http://www.tatabjd.com/en/goods.php?id=2962 This might work? I couldn't say for sure about how well it would fit but I'd say it would be worth a shot.
Mario Posted August 13, 2017 Unfortunately I don't know too much about bodysuits for SmD guys since I haven't used one yet.(SmD guys seem to be made of harder vinyl(except chest piece) than the girls and DDs (probably way it doesn't stain easily for me) I have mine wearing a dark brown suit and has yet to stain him. Although I have considered getting this for my guy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-Unisex-White-Anti-staining-Comfot-Underwear-Pants-Clothes-1-3-SD-BJD-Doll-/362027075079?hash=item544a7ec607:g:AXsAAOSw6ShZOiFo I think the 2 piece would be easier than a 1 piece body suit. Error-Chan Posted August 13, 2017 I would point you towards my post here. viewtopic.php?f=26&t=14370&start=10#top It's the same as the one Mario has linked on my DD and Smd guy. when I bought it I got another for my Obitsu guy but he had toes so it was not leggings like in the image so I have not tried them on him but they fit fine on the Ob guy. elianti Posted August 13, 2017 Thanks for all the replies! http://www.tatabjd.com/en/goods.php?id=2962 This might work? I couldn't say for sure about how well it would fit but I'd say it would be worth a shot. The Type G onesie is the style of bodysuit I'm looking for. I wish they had more pictures though! I have considered getting this for my guy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-Unisex-White-Anti-staining-Comfot-Underwear-Pants-Clothes-1-3-SD-BJD-Doll-/362027075079?hash=item544a7ec607:g:AXsAAOSw6ShZOiFo I think the 2 piece would be easier than a 1 piece body suit. Thanks for that suggestion. It looks really great on El, Error-chan! I'd really prefer a one piece bodysuit with a high neck and a back zipper as much as possible though because I'm going for wetsuit look like this: I wouldn't mind cutting up a fullbody one to get it to shorty length like in the image(it might make putting it on a bit easier too idk). My main concern with using bodysuits for girls are that SmD guy shoulders and arms are really big/thick in comparison and that the guys have slimmer hips too. Obviously, since SmD guys were designed to be guys from the start and not adapted from girl bodies like Parabox/Obitsu 60cms and now DD boys. xD I went with Coolcat as my primary choice because they had a lot of style/fabric options and are generally well-regarded over here. They don't have pictures of how the entire bodysuits look by itself(and not on a body) and I'm not sure of how elastic the fabric is so I can't gauge whether or not it may be stretchy enough to fit. I really like how thick some of the fabric options are though--it would be great as a 'wetsuit' material. ;__;"" Besides that I'm also considering Parabox's 55/60cm suit. From their pictures it actually looks loose in the upper body of an obi60 body and from my experience with their 50cm suits the fit is generally very loose all around(which always confused me tbh lol) on standard obis, plus the suit isn't really curvy so it's making me think it might be okay on a SmD guy... elianti Posted September 29, 2017 elianti: wondering if you ever got the cool cat body suit and how it fits? thinking of ordering one as well for future Smartdoll boy. I did however use a cool cat on VOLKS dd Kirito and it fits well. But then I don't know how volks compares to smrtdoll boys... I did end up buying the cool cat bodysuit(it just arrived today actually!). I won't get a smart doll guy for a while though because I'm waiting for a Crimson/tea guy to be available as a DIY kit, or I'll wait until I go to Tokyo again next year in February to do a workshop. Whichever comes first, though I'm leaning towards waiting to do a workshop for him instead. Might as well make it extra special as a travel experience. ^^" Since the cool cat bodysuits are meant for DDs I kept comparing DD/DDdy measurements in the DD dimensions thread to this before buying: I saved this pic way back, but I can't find it on the smart doll website now.. iirc the new body only has a longer neck and headlights, and the slim version also has thinner upper arms. I'm not sure which bodysuit you have.. it seems like the different fabrics vary in stretchyness. I asked Coolcat about the one I specifically wanted in the thick W7 fabric, and they sent me a pic of the shoulder part(minus arms) stretching about 13cm. Since thats wider than the same area on a smart doll guy(9.5cm), I dedided to just order it anyway. I don't actually even have a full DD yet, so I only tried it on my Obitsu/DD hybrid girl lol. She's shorter and her shoulders are slimmer than DD so it's obviously not as good a fit on her. The W7 fabric is still stretchy(though not as stretchy as expected), and I think it might still be possible to squeeze a SmD guy in there.. obviously it stretches enough for DDdy girls to use it just fine. But if it doesn't work then I'll just have a nicely made bodysuit ready for when I get a taller girl so it's still okay either way. xD If anyone here has both a Smart doll guy and a Coolcat bodysuit already I'd still love some insight on how/if it fits tho! belpita Posted October 1, 2017 Someone in the FB group for SD put their Hatsune Miku bodysuit on her Eiji and it fit perfectly, apparently. Maybe that helps in sizing? I have decided to sew my own. And having just received my Eiji, I can definitely say he is softer that my now 1 yo Chitose.
