Asuka vs Rei

Since the new girls from Canada moved in, they've been staying in the craft room due to space limitations in the bedroom where the rest of the girls stay. So they haven't really met any of my girls officially.... just heard rumors and seen a couple in passing.

 

So it seems Asuka has taken it upon herself to mobilize her sisters and plan for a hostile takeover of whoever or whatever they might find here.

I have no idea who I hear when I hear Rei or Asuka. To me it's just.... them. But I know what you mean. I always hear Ryomous voice as her English voice actress. And with Kanu it's the English actress for Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh.

I seen it first hand, she used to legit wear it to anime cons in late 90s/super-early 2000s. Like, nowadays major booths will try to get cosplayers to accompany VAs that voice the chara, but back in the day the english VA herself had an Asuka plugsuit AND Chocolate frm Bakuretsu Hunters cosplays

For the curious, I found it. (I think)

 

 

She looks more like a 1950's pinup model than Asuka, but it isn't a bad look in all honesty. Just, not quite Asuka.

I have just dug deeeeeeeeeep into my archives piles here, this is from mofo 1999, the very first anime con I've gone to! She totalz did Asuka voice on stage for her opening talk and stuff (this was shot on 35mm!! with real camera!! that whirled to wind up the film!)
