Some questions..

Hello. I decided to post since i got some questions, i did search already but didn't found a exactly answer to what i was looking for.

Sorry for my english, is not really good, and sorry again if some of the questions are really stupid lol.

Anyways, here it goes:

1- How is supposed to be the correct form to put a headcap? i mean, it should be under the wig, but the border of the wig (im not sure if im explaining it correctly..) needs to be in top of the headcap even if it shows a little or it should be completely under it?

2-Bangs (not sure if is the correct word again lol) will stain the forehead?

3-How much time it takes for a wig to stain the head? or which colors don't stain and which ones are the worst? i guess black wigs are the worst and white ones aren't. But wigs with colors like dark blonde, gray, theses that are white/pink for example, etc.. will stain too?

4-And about clothes.. again, which colors usually stain the most apart from black? and how much time it takes?

 

Maybe im just being paranoid about stains and i should not worry too much, but i want to make sure, im mostly scared to stain her head or something..

With the exception of mohair (which is dyed sheep's wool), these wigs are generally made from a synthetic fiber, where the pigment is cast as part of the plastic. As such, the hairs themselves won't stain, so the bangs are safe.

 

What does stain is the fabric that the hair part is sewn onto. Now, sometimes this'll either be pale enough not to be a problem, or once in a blue moon will be made of a fabric that doesn't stain, but typically dark or saturated colors will be the big culprits. Black, dark brown, red, purple, or dark blue are definitely ones to be cautious with. Blond is generally safe, and paler greys may be fine. As for pink, it likely depends on the kind of pink. Pale pink would be safe, but hot pink or fuchsia could have dark caps.

 

As for the protective cap, I never needed one for Agatha since she's blond, but I should start looking into one for Nanoha. I just don't know how I'll get her default over another layer; her wig is so well-fitted to her head it practically pops into place.

I see, i was scared that the bangs or the hair itself could stain her, that's good to know. I guess i was worrying too much. Then i'll buy some wigs with a white or lighter cap to be on the safe side.

I had a dark wig on my MDD. It didn't stain her at all (It had bangs) but after a while I took it off. I wouldn't keep a dark wig on too long though. I would buy a light wig for her to wear inside, or when you're not taking photos.

 

And for clothes... Basically any dark color will stain the doll. Dark red, blue, gray purple ETC.

 

I read somewhere that if you soak the clothes in vinegar and water, it'll take some of the ink out. I did that, and for some idiot reason I left it on my doll. It took a while but.... Her legs got stained. ;A; *smacks forehead*

 

And some places, have white on the inside so it won't stain the doll.
