BeyondTime Posted June 5, 2018 Quoted from the Volks USA webstore page: Delivery Date: Sequentially delivered from Early August, 2018 whatever that actually means. I believe it means in the order that the orders were originally received. That seems to be how Volks does them both here and international. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction

I believe it means in the order that the orders were originally received. That seems to be how Volks does them both here and international. That's what I suspected, but what I have no idea on is how long that takes; i.e. the people that got the last ones before they sold out, when they'll have theirs actually shipped. It's clear that when they have a large volume of orders, on both stores, that things are shipped out, on average, slower. I haven't even been charged for my Sheryl order yet whereas other orders I've made from the international store have taken maybe half a week to get to that point. Lore Posted June 6, 2018 I missed the date Volks might send out the USA Luka orders did anyone catch that? I'm going to assume it won't be until late this year. If you mean the VolksUSA orders it should be early august if I remember correctly. Thank you!! Singer Yuna Posted June 6, 2018 Well my Senbonzakura set arrived, but now I have to decide if I set it aside till November to save it for Luka, or try it out on Takane or Miki. It sort of feels like if I don't save it I am stealing something from Luka. XD Come on, try it on the other girls, and make tons of photos!

It's temping because I think Takane would look awesome in it. I just have a thing in my head where certain outfits belong to certain girls. In the end I'm just anthropomorphizing them, they are just plastic and vinyl after all, but still sometimes putting one girls outfit on another one just feels wrong. Chihaya does sometimes steal Makoto's stuff though. Makoto's stuff is the only thing even close to her SS bust size. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? It sort of feels like if I don't save it I am stealing something from Luka. XD Lol, I know how you feel. Back when I foolishly assumed the chances of winning a June delivery date were 50/50, I went ahead and bought Luka a nice dress. It’s hanging in my closet now. At least this gives me time to stain proof it. It’s the black polka dot dress and cardigan set.

BeyondTime Posted June 8, 2018 Yep, that’s the one. I bought some white material that I’m going to, discreetly as I can, layer over the black underneath. Funny how Volks never thinks of stuff like that. They could just put white lace or something similar under the black. And I do kind of get it. This stuff is really made with their resins in mind, and that dress would look hot on an SD13 or SDGr. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Sniiksnak Posted June 8, 2018 And I do kind of get it. This stuff is really made with their resins in mind, and that dress would look hot on an SD13 or SDGr. It would just be nice if they took into consideration that the clothes are for all the dolls that fit into them, be it resin or vinyl. Not to mention all these clothes are advertised on DD models. I think it’s a conspiracy to push more Dream rescue sales.
cfx Posted June 8, 2018 I think it’s a conspiracy to push more Dream rescue sales. And what a pain it is using the stuff. I've mentioned before that I had a disaster with dye transferred from my hands to the doll skin. Each treatment was doing so little for improvement I started leaving it on longer. This actually worked well, for getting the stains out. But Volks warning against this isn't just a CYA disclaimer unfortunately. I appear to have permanently damaged the vinyl by doing this. I left the Dream Rescue on first for about 4 days and then about a week. I'm not sure if both applications did damage but the final one certainly did. The vinyl is raised and sort of pimply looking in the areas treated. It's been a couple of weeks since I removed it now and there is no change and the vinyl feels harder in those areas so this unfortunately is likely permanent. I had so many stains I basically ruined an entire body. I'm going to try one more treatment and leave it for just the recommended two days in case that somehow undoes the damage but I doubt it will make any difference. So far, this hobby hasn't treated me well.
BeyondTime Posted June 8, 2018 But Volks warning against this isn't just a CYA disclaimer unfortunately. I appear to have permanently damaged the vinyl by doing this. I left the Dream Rescue on first for about 4 days and then about a week. I've done 3 or 4 days (thinking on it I can't recall for sure which it was) on some badly stained feet, and didn't seen any damage. I want to go back and double check them now. I've never left it on for a week. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? cfx Posted June 8, 2018 It didn't damage the feet for me either, nor the wrist area of a forearm. It badly damaged both thighs, the one shin I put it on, and fairly badly on lower torso and bust. It's a little harder to see on the lower torso because the vinyl surface on that seems to have more imperfections anyway. My theory is the harder/denser vinyl like feet and that part of the arms isn't affected the same way. I'll probably end up swapping parts around and use most of this if I can get that business suit I want, since with the parts covered it won't matter. For anything that exposes these parts they're basically ruined.

Because I’ve only ever seen tutorials in which, you have the cream and light on in 4-5 hour intervals. Like Apply-after x hours wipe-Apply-wipe..., until the stain is gone. I’ve never seen anyone leave it on for that long.
cfx Posted June 8, 2018 Yeah Dream Rescue is different; you don't use heat for it. I forget the exact wording, but Volks' instructions say leave it on for 1-2 days but not longer. It still takes multiple treatments. I should've posted this in the care and maintenance section.
Bellatrix Posted June 8, 2018 OT / IMO the best way to use the Dream Rescue is as it follows (using a tip someone suggested me on facebook, which was actually what made the difference!): 1) cover the area with Dream Rescue 2) wrap the whole body part you treating with a tight layer of plastic wrapping (like the food clean film) 3) leave it under direct sunlight until the stain is gone The passage #2 is because the effective part of the dream rescue is that stinky, drippy liquid part: when it evaporates, the cream needs to be re-applied. This worked for the best to me on several occasions (everytime on normal skin girl, tho) and even the harder stains went away within a week. / OT ✩ 𝓥𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓶 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓑𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔁 ✩
cfx Posted June 8, 2018 That's basically what I did except I didn't put it in sunlight and I reapplied however many times; I really couldn't tell how the stains were doing without cleaning it off. Since the plastic wrap wasn't always completely sealing, as I left it on longer I tried to check and make sure it wasn't drying out completely. Coincidentally there's a picture just posted that looks similar to what happened to me; look at the closeup picture of Kanu's butt in this sales post: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=17268 See that blistering effect? That's pretty much what I've got all the places I left the Dream Rescue on for a little over a week, and perhaps where I did four days though I can't be sure on that part. I left it on my girls for that time, even for longer before I used the clean film trick, and never experienced something like that. sinclair Posted June 8, 2018 I ruined Miku's legs doing Dream Rescue and lamp like that. Only took a few hours. After reading the instructions in English and following them, I have had good results. I apply it before I got to bed, and put it in a rubbermaid container with lid. I put the lid on and two days later before I got to bed and rinse them off with hot tap water and set them out to dry. The next night I repeat the process. After 4-5 times most stains are either gone or are weak, which is good enough for me. And in the following weeks the stains will continue to fade. The trick with Dream Rescue is the several applications so that it can work into the vinyl and then after you are done with the treatments it continues to work. cfx Posted June 8, 2018 Thanks for that. That's mostly what I did except for leaving it on too long then. I wrapped the parts but also put them in a container that I put a towel over so there was less chance of drying out. Before that last too-long treatment; after the one that was about 4 days, I waited over a week and also saw that the stains there continued to fade, so it's possible there is some value in waiting between treatments at least once the stains are fairly reduced. Expensive lesson though.
BeyondTime Posted June 8, 2018 I’ve definitely noticed continued fading after the cream was removed. In fact I usually don’t treat until they are 100% gone. Once the fade to a point that they are faint I stop, and they always fade the rest of the way on their own. When I was cleaning up my Yui Hirasawa I also noticed that after several weeks of treatment the cream became less effective. Stoping treatment for a month and then starting again gave better results. I’m not sure why this would be. I’ve had all my girls packed away due to construction, so I can’t check but I do not recall the blistering present in that image on either my Snow Miku or my Yukiho, and I treated both of them repeatedly for a minimum of 72 hours each time. I get to finally unpack them all this weekend and I am going to look those two over closely. I do normally see a bit of discoloration, but it always fades to nothing after awhile. I probably wont apply it for more than 48 hours now. I had forgotten that was in the instructions. My Kikuchi Makoto got a tiny stain right adjacent to her blush while I was in San Diego. No way to treat it, and it was very faint to start. All I could do was let it fade on its own. After two months it’s almost impossible to see unless you use bright light. With the cream it would take maybe 1 or 2 applications and be totally gone in maybe a week. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction
cfx Posted June 8, 2018 [Posting this in both relevant topics because I don't know where to put it] Just received a Volks USA email about Luka for the Miku Expo event. This is pre-order from June 29 - July 23. "Early Bird" preorders will be shipped in August 2018 and the rest in December 2018.
baldylox Posted June 9, 2018 All right everyone, let's get back on topic and stop with the stain treatment stuff. If you want to continue that, please go to the stain treatment thread down in the care and maintenance section. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
